This week on Behind the Blue Curtain we’ll discuss Civilian Police Chiefs.  It’s not as crazy as you might think.  The Sheriff is an elected official and prior law enforcement experience, while seen as a plus isn’t a requirement.  Clinton, Obama and Trump are or were Commander-In-Chief of the most powerful military the world has ever seen and none of them had any military experience.  Let’s talk about the pros and cons of civilians being allowed to apply for Chief of Police.  I do not speak for the city of Waco, the Waco Police Department, the Officers, Civilian Employees or Citizens of Waco.  My opinions are based on my personal and professional experiences.
