This Saturday let’s talk about former Bordentown, New Jersey Police Chief Frank Nucera.   He was recently charged with a hate crime in federal court in Camden, New Jersey after a criminal complaint was filed with the FBI. Bordentown has a population of approximately 12,000 people and is 75% white.   Nucera allegedly said “Blacks are like ISIS, they have no value,” he allegedly talked about joining a firing squad to mow them down.  He reportedly used Police dogs to intimidate black spectators at high school basketball games, according to federal authorities.  Former Chief Nucera was recorded by another officer (way to go) as he made his wild rant.  Chief Nucera is accused to slamming a black teens head into a door jamb while arresting him.  Kudos to the FBI for acting on this complaint and not sitting back and waiting for a list of victims to develop.  Why was he allowed to retire to a six figure pension after learning he was under investigation?   Is Former Chief Nucera just another “bad apple” or are there more “Nuceras” in the barrel that need to be weeded out.  He faces up to 20 years.  We’ll also have open lines.  You can call in and sound off on issues regarding police reform that you’d like to discuss.646-716-4621 then press 1 to get in the conversation.  See all Saturday.
