Nothing is more important than the health and well-being of our youth today! This week on Arming Champions we meet Jacques Lumpkin: a man who has a personal passion for youth education, health and sports. Jacques has created a program called “Prevention before Detention” for at risk youth, and this work extends through group homes, foster homes, and after-school homes.
Among his many achievements, Jacques is a Certified Umpire for little league baseball, San Diego County Football Officials Association (Certified Pop Warner/American Youth Football and High School Official), was a member in La Boxing - Street team has a B.S. Degree in Recreation and Tourism Management (Systems Management Emphasis). He was a long-term Substitute Teacher/Strength and Conditioning Coach/Olympiad Coordinator at the Kearny Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility running a 6 to 6 Extended Day Program.
