Singer/Songwriter/Model/Actress Br00klyn James is a California native. Raised in the inner city of Los Angeles during the 80’s, she was largely influenced by the growing Hip Hop culture. As a young child, at any given time, she could be heard chanting the lyrics of Run DMC, KRS1, MC Lyte, Slick Rick, or her namesake Roxanne SHANTE. Very soon, it was obvious to everyone around her that music was something she loved and her cousins gave her the nickname “Br00klyn” because she had what some referred to as “East Coast” flair. (That’s B-R-zero-zero-K-L-Y-N)
