Personal Safety For Women: Making Yourself A Tough Target

After being held at knifepoint in 1990, as a survivor, Tracy Nelson decided to do something to help other women as well as children learn how to defend themselves. She is the founder of STREETSMART Center for Family Safety, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safety training and resources focused on the needs of women and children. She has trained over 6000 people nationwide in crime prevention and self-defense strategies and is a certified instructor of the nationally famous RAD Systems women’s and children’s programs.
