Kayla Charles is a seventeen-year-old senior at Blythewood High School in South Carolina. She is an officer in the National Honor Society, a member of the Beta Club as well the Leo Club. Not only is she on the Varsity Girls basketball team, but she is a captain on her bowling team. She is the anchor and director of her school news show, and manages the website/twitter for both the News show and her basketball team.

At 7:15, join Kathy as she welcomes Author Jan Glover into the studio to share her journey of how her life drastically changed in 2009. While an Air Force Reservist at Moody AFB, Jan was called in to discuss the results of her physical exam. Discovered were carcinoid tumors found in Jan's digestive tract and she was diagnosed with gastric cancer. Jan would go on to have a full gastrectomy on October 20, 2010 to remove her stomach and has since been cancer free. As a teenager Jan was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and this likely predisposed her to the gastric cancer. She recently celebrated being cancer free for five years!!! and attributes her tenacity and strength to her faith which brings assurance that all things will continue to work out for her good. This is definitely a conversation worth listening to.
