Can you be too honest?

Working on a security job I got fired for telling on myself for something I did a year before that. There was a billion other ways of handling the situation. I didn't use much reason and logic just an unbalanced right brain at the time. I had my son on the way a woman at home and bills. That was not the way to handle the situation. Over honest. The enemy(your ego) is the most cunning and will use your own gift against you. Be aware of your motives. Be aware of your position.
