After the attacks in Paris resulted in seemingly worldwide solidarity many people opposed the disproportionate media coverage and sympathy that was given to the Western country in contrast to nations. Facebook in particular was subject to much criticism offering after offering an option to have the French as a profile picture gradient. This resulted in debates and arguments all over social media as those opposed to this action spoke out against it.
