Falls are a “clear and present danger” to our aging parents.  My guest, Rein Tideiksaar Ph.D., PA-C is the president of FallPrevent, LLC, a consulting company that provides educational, legal and marketing services related to fall prevention in the elderly.  We will be discussing the causes and impact of falls in the elderly as well as pracitical strategies to prevent them.  We will be answering the following questions:

  1. Where do falls among older adults most frequently occur?
  2. What are the major risk factors for falls?
  3. How can caregivers make the home safe for elders?
  4. What kinds of exercise reduce the risk of falling ?

All aging parents are at risk for falls.  This show offers listeners insights and practical advice on how to prevent them.
