Issues on the Soapboxx: Today's show will feature Catalina Byrd who is a political journalist and pundit out of Baltimore MD. She is very well versed in politics with the balance of being a poet and community building activist. Catalina Byrd's background is rooted in politics from both sides of the table so her ideals and opinions skip the partisan approach and will leave you thinking about how you can be a part of this thing we call democracy! I hope we can engage in a discussion of congressional duty & responsibility vs taxpayer rights & responsibility That we can educate women (who are unaware) as to whom their congressperson is and how they can contact them. We hope to (together) learn how congress works in general. Speak on solutions to promote community building The info collected on this show will then be included in a letter to our congress persons (including bullets with our points of interest in tonights discussion as well as our collective concerns and questions). I will also mention the Peace March we hope to organize by the end of the year. The purpose of the P.M. is to let our president know that we support his message of Peace, of Hope, and of Change and further that our presence means we are desiring to BE that change and to be vessels for that purpose.
