Erin is a cancer survivor, and two of her young children have been diagnosed with a severe and potentially life-threatening peanut allergy. Ten percent of the proceeds of Erin Ley's The Will to Live will be donated to the American Cancer Society, and ten percent of the proceeds of the Maggie the Magnificent series will be donated to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). Erin clearly understands the importance of developing strong positive character traits in young children, such as responsibility, respect, compassion, honesty and accountability, self-discipline, generosity, self-esteem, individuality, and courage. She would like to inspire both children and adults living in today's fast-paced society to understand the significance of taking another step toward great character, a strong belief in oneself, and the rewards from doing so.
