Ernie Vecchio Author of the Soul’s Intent is a licensed clinical, school, and rehabilitation psychologist with over thirty years experience in the helping profession. The child of abusive parents who was raised in foster homes and an orphanage, Ernie has built a career of helping people come back from extreme physical and mental adversity. He feels that the mental health system treats the extreme element of the culture but has failed in treating the ‘average' American. "Sixty-eight percent of this country is addicted to something in an effort to medicate the angst of what it means to be human," he says. "As a result, we are removed from the best and the worst of who we are. This is a spiritual crisis for many who are left seeking at random for the answer to why."
