CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) is where physicists and engineers probe the fundamental structure of the universe. They use the world's largest, most complex scientific instruments to study the basic constituents of matter – the fundamental particles. The particles collide together at close to the speed of light, this gives the physicists clues about how the particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.  The instruments used are purpose-built particle accelerators and detectors. Accelerators boost beams of particles to high energies before the beams are made to collide with each other or with stationary targets. Detectors observe and record the results. Founded in 1954, the CERN laboratory sits astride the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva.

Sergio Bertolucci, who is Director for Research and Scientific Computing at CERN, Large Hadron Collider (LHC) says that the titanic machine may possibly create or discover previously unimagined scientific phenomena, or "unknown unknowns" - for instance "an extra dimension".  "Out of this door might come something, or we might send something through it."

Revelation 9:1-3,11 (KJV)  And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.  And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.  And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.  And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
