Is There A Such Thing For Women To Be Too Independent???

Mama use to always say as a young girl, "Don't you grow up depending on no man!" Have women become just too independent for men. Now days more women are going to college, becoming millionaires, and I have even heard women say, "I don't need a man for nothing." Is this really true, or have women just become to damn independent?
