Join us Family. I also had the honor and pleasure of meeting a phenomenal woman a few months back and you may remember, she was on a previous show I did. She is an inspirational speaker, an advocate and a survivor of domestic violence and at that time, she was working on her book, which is not completed: 30 Days of Affirmations and Inspiration: From the Heart of A Survivor. Website: http://www.healing2grace.org. Healing 2 Grace was created to bring awarenesssupport and empowerment to all who have been in abusive relationships and have never quite healed. I had the distinct pleasure of traveling to St. Lucia this past week as vice president of Sisters in Harmony, but under the umbrella of the Piton International Film Festival (PIFF), whose president is Brother Umoja and vice president is Dr. Kathleen Walls.  The performances where great and the movies, all 22 of them were excellent.  There is a lot of untapped talent out there and some of it came to light this week.  With October being Domestic Violence Month and the fact that I am a speaker on Domestic Violence, Authors on the Rise will be conducting its October 5th show (8:00pm-10:00pm EST) on this important subject.  I had the honor and the pleasure of meeting Writer, Producer and Director, Demedrius Charles, at PIFF, whose film is on Domestic Violence. Demedrius is a very humble man from St. Lucia who presently lives in New York. This is a subject close to his heart because he has experienced it through a family member. Website: http://www.demedriuscharles.com/. Demedrius is "Story Telling The Way It Should Be".
