Power and Purpose: The Power to Overcome

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." (Ephesians 6:10-13, 18)

Sometimes beneath the surface of our lives there is a great-unseen spiritual battle. Though Christ has risen from the dead to defeat sin, evil and death - the battle still continues, and it will until the Lord comes back to receive us to Him.

He has given us weapons of faith (armor) for those times when we get in a slump and feel like satan has gotten over on us as we walk in our purpose, to defeat and claim victory over the enemy of our souls.  But, armor means nothing if we don’t use the greatest weapon with the greatest power of all – which is prayer. Nothing less than praying in the power of God will bring victory in the our lives.

POWER and PURPOSE AFFIRMATION:  I am powerful. I am worthy. I am loveable. I am free. I am an overcomer!
