Zaneta Powell was born in Camden Al but was raised in between Camden and Yellow Bluff Al where she now resides. She grew her love for reading after reading “God Don’t Like Ugly” by Mary Monroe. From that point on she became an avid reader. With so much going on within the pages of the novels she read; she desperately wanted to converse about them. With the town of Yellow Bluff being so small, she couldn’t find anyone to talk to so she turned to Facebook where she created a book club called Black Faithful Sisters and Brother’s Book Club. After reading so many books, Zaneta felt that she could write her own book and tell her story from her point of view. After years of starting and stopping she finally finished and published her book called Misplaced Loyalties on April 3, 2013.
