Past experiences....success & failures - what did we learn?

Ah yes, our past experiences. What have we learned? Was that can of gasoline on the campfire really worth the loss of body hair when you got too close? Or how about that time you lied low for several hours and those deer finally approached without knowing you were there. All of our experience, no matter how bad, or hopefully good, leads to a better understanding of a more efficient way of researching.
