The WHOLE TRUTH behind HALF SIBLINGS

Let's talk about the taboo topic of half sisters/brothers. Most families take it all "in love" and respect for the feelings of those involved to not directly refer to one another as 'half'. However, the truth has so many other perspectives of why we should indeed know if we are truly sisters with the same father or mother. Some of us are living with no idea that we may have a sis/bro that is a half. Some of us are living distant lives, without even knowing our other siblings, but feeling a disconnect. What about the critical genetic health concerns that we leave to chance and next to nothing, we get to the Dr. with an illness that doesnt match our parents (as we know them), only to know that the 'absent parent' is the one with the illness.
