The Why Do We Live Show

I am sure many of you have asked yourself these questions: ‘Why am I alive?’ ‘And why do we live?’ The answer to these questions isn’t easy, but the questions themselves run through my mind it seems every minute of every day. I don’t know why I hate life or why I was given life to begin with, but the thought of working 9-5 or having to have a schedule of some kind makes me want to end it right here and now. I believe this question is very important since approximately 41,149 suicides were reported this year.  After cancer and heart disease, suicide accounts for more years of life lost than any other cause of death, according to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention 2015 numbers. According to the website, 70% of those who commit suicide are white males. Although I am a female, I too have suffered from suicidal thoughts and urges for more than a decade. When I was in school, like most of us, I didn’t think about life and just went with the flow, and though I was bullied a lot in school over my weight and appearance, I none-the-less continued into college, which is where the real pain started. 10 years later and many painful memories, yet lessons learned along the way, I still ask myself these questions regarding the purpose of life, why we are here and whether or not we have a true home somewhere besides this earth. This show's purpose is two-fold. #1 is listening to the voice within that tells which path to follow that aligns with our heart's desires and #2 is knowing that we are worth the effort it takes to create a life that we love.
