What were the music charts looking like before the Beatles' invasion of the top 10? Join Ken Hopkins this week(Saturday, January 19th 8pm Eastern, 6pm Mountain). This show the WLS, Chicago Silver Dollar Survey dated January 17, 1964 will be the musical guideline. The Top 10 was inhabited by well-knowns Jimmy Gilmer, Al Hirt, The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean and Bobby Vinton. There also were some little-knowns as the Trashmen, The Rivieras, Ginny Arnell and the Rip Chords. Plenty of extras too from 1964.
