Patti Page made her transition as the calendar turned to 2013. She had a long, storied singing career. She experienced innovation in the recording field with the first "overdub" in her first hit in 1947, year number two in the Baby Boom era. She had giant hits like Tennessee Waltz and Old Cape Cod and her last charted hit in 1964, Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte may be the most familiar to many. Join me, Ken Hopkins as we look and listen to the musical career of Patti Page, "The Singin' Rage" Sunday night 8-10pm eastern, 5-8pm Pacific. I'll also look into some of the big songs of 1947, Patti's first year on the charts. It's amazing how many of the top hits of 1947 showed up in the late 50s and early 60s. Plenty of great musical leftovers that we didn't;y get to in pervious shows and maybe a surprise or to as well. The request lines and chat room will be open and of course the Face Book pages.
