  • Spirituality part 1 with Professor/Imam Ben Bilal

    in Self Help

Professor/Imam Benjamin Bilal will be speaking, on this re-broadcast show, on the timely topic of Spirituality part 1. Regarding Spirituality he says the following:
"Spirituality" is not to be seen as separate from the material and social life of man. The material life is actually the densest form of spiritual existence, which is the "true" existence. Real life is pertaining to the life of the soul, or what I have dubbed the 'breathing conscience'. It gives birth to proper emotional, mental and psychic life - all of which are invisible and represent aspects of the spiritual life. In reality, they are all ONE! "Spirit" only means "influence" and if you can get control of the invisible things that influence your invisible life on a daily basis, you can maintain control over all of the various manifestations of that life, which will allow you access to peace, freedom, and wellness.

  • EASY KNOWING: 3-5-17

    in Self Help

We're talking about how to experience and express in a world changing before our eyes. Humanity is evolving and as our vibrations continue to rise, anything not in resonance will begin to fall away - beliefs, habits, friends, jobs, illness, dis-ease, etc.  The ascension is affecting us physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually in unknown and unfamiliar ways. Shifting the crystal allows us to perceive our experiences differently, so we can choose a new way of being that reflects who we really are. I'll be sharing the tools and techniques that allow you to become aware of and change your conditioning/programming, belief systems, and negative self-image.
So please join me every Sunday just to listen, ask a question, make a comment or share a story with us.  Remember, when you evolve everyone evolves, whether they like it or not.
Change your perspective and you change how you experience your world. Learn how to 'shift the crystal' by understanding what you know differently, with Easy Knowing.

  • Virtus: Toward Manliness and Excellence

    in Self Help

Dig within. Within is the wellspring of Good; and it is always ready to bubble up, if you just dig. (Marcus Aurelius) Generations of men admired the manly and the excellent, and sought to cultivate in themselves what was regarded as good. From elder members of their own families, and from unrelated mentors, boys and young men learned what it meant to be a man, and learned what it was to be a responsible citizen. Some fifty years have passed since the planting of seeds in the soil of society, from which wild and tangled vines of misandry have grown. What were once the strongholds of masculine virtue and fellowhip have given way to programmes which treat boys, as Chrstina Hoff Sommers puts it, "like defective girls."
Yet, in response to the onslaught,. or perhaps in spite of it, there are men out there who are seeking to reclaim the virtues in themselves, and to cultivate them in the young.
This afternoon, Woodwose Radio takes a look at many ways in which men have defined manliness and excellence, ranging from Classical thinkers, to modern-day men.

Every day on the LACP web site we carry a 'Daily Digest' of current news, often from Americas most recognized sources. We scour the obvious newspapers and cable news organizations, but also include articles that appear on noted activist, social media and official government web sites. You'll find crime stories, resources and OPINION pieces on regional, national and International topics. Compiled on a single 'News of the Week' page, and archived year after year, the information we offer the community-based policing activist is enormous .. and growing all the time. His significant circle of influence includes his work as the founder of both LA Community Policing (LACP.org) and the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (NAASCA.org). ~~ "Where is the UNITY in 'community' these days?," Bill asks. "Unless we can learn to set aside our differences and start paying attention to how shockingly similar our experiences, feelings and actions are we'll not make progress."
