SPECIAL GUEST - UK SINGER/SONGWRITER - MATT JAMES

    in Entertainment

Matt James hails from the garden that is Yorkshire. If Yorkshire is a garden then Sheffield is the proverbial prize winning apple tree. In musical terms at least. A city producing a rich history of top acts. Def Leppard, The Human League, Mr Jarvis Cocker and most recently The Arctic Monkeys. Yet the tree still bears fruit. Matt James has launched himself onto the scene with gusto. His frank and vivid view of his life and the world surrounding him have endeared him to audiences across the county. Looking at him and his scruffy hair you would have no idea he was an ex soldier. Much like an early James Blunt but not so posh. His songs are most influenced by his Father's record collection, Fleetwood Mac and the Beautiful South being the strongest. Matt James real name (Matthew James Mclauchlan) performs a hooky narrative of subject matter important to him. If you listen close it's easy to pick out the harmonies Fleetwood Mac would be proud of and the story telling abilities of Paul Heaton. His tracks 'Sweet Satellite' and 'Summer' have appeared on BBC Introducing in Sheffield and the future holds much promise for Matt. His forth coming debut EP 'Crawl Walk Run' shall be released in the near future.

Matt will join Take 2 Radio Music on Wednesday, March 11th at 3pm eastern!

Kim Cresswell churns the stomach with her unbelievable account of the atrocities committed by Fred and Rosemary West  Carol Anne Davis looks at one of the greatest abuses of police power in English history: the entrapment of Colin Stagg for the 1992 ripper-style murder of blonde beauty Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common. Susan Davis, Physical Therapist for Animals at Joycare Onsite LLC

    in Radio

We already know that Dr. Doolittle was able to converse with animals, and I’m thinking that Susan Davis possesses the same gift. Susan is a NJ Licensed Physical Therapist, and these days her patients are typically 4-legged. The benefits of physical therapy for animals have been widely accepted in the veterinary community for many years, but is a relatively new field in the US. The goal of physical therapy for animals is to improve quality of life and decrease pain -- same as for humans. Although most veterinary practices offering physical therapy are geared toward canines, techniques used in this discipline can also be applied to horses, cats, birds, rabbits, rodents and other small animals. Susan has worked on many types of dogs from an Australian Cattle Dog to a Yorkshire Terrier. Recently she had an opportunity to do some rehab on a large pig (yes, a large pig) and we’ll learn what other animals Susan has helped out with some PT and her magic touch. In 2013, Susan authored and self-published the book Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for Animals: A Guide for the Consumer, and she also writes guest articles for pet-related blogs on a monthly basis. Some conditions in animals that benefit from PT include arthritis, hip dysplasia, and spinal deformity. Susan will share how she changed focus as a PT and began her healing work with animals. She is a member of the International Association for Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy. After the interview, please check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.

It has been well received by viewers.

In 2012 Phil and his family spent 12 months living in a haunted 16th century former hall, where numerous paranormal incidents were witnessed; Phil has since said that it was one of the few places he believes to be genuinely haunted, and hopes one day to write a book of the experiences.
