As F4F Radio winds to a close next month, we take time in May to wrap up an ongoing program tradition where we discuss “Xena: Warrior Princess” every six months. This tradition started with an interview of three prominent Xena fanfic and “uberfic” authors in January 2010, followed by three more in June. Due to the fandom’s enduring and massive popularity, this eventually metamorphosed into annual May and November segments where author interviews gave way to panel discussions with authors and fans about Xena, the heroines, the villains, the storylines, the comedy, the everything! Tonight we’ll have one last panel where the conversation will fittingly include Xena’s final episodes, as well as the way the series continues to influence fans to this day. Once again I’ll cede my place as host to author/filmmaker Kim Pritekel, a treasured and reliable contributor to this program whose role has evolved from being a guest on that June show, to recurring cohost, to regular moderator of the Xena panels. Also returning from past panels will be hardcore fans Adm_Hawthorne, Kelly Neal, Zea Apa, and Chris Salameno. Join us as we take one final look at how Xena changed lives, before F4F Radio draws its own conclusion in June.
While we’re hoping Sandy will be tamed by then and hope she has not left too much wreckage in her wake, we are preparing a radio show for a night that is traditionally filled with howls and shrieks. Bring on the little monsters, flickering jack-o-lanterns, flying spider webs and we will all need a break. Before you hand-out all the treats, set a few aside for yourself, pour a relaxing elixir and tune in for an hour or so of music and chat. We’ll talk about the Stormy Weather
This month, as F4F Radio frequently does in May and November, we dive back into the world of Xena: Warrior Princess because, well, this is a fandom where you never run out of things to discuss. Otherwise there wouldn’t still be three gazillion Xena/Gabrielle shippers out there. Tonight, however, we’ll shift focus a little bit away from our favorite heroines and spend time with the most prominent VILLAINS from the television series – Ares the god of war, Callisto the insane ven
F4F Radio has been discussing "Xena: Warrior Princess", even now enormously popular among fans of lesbian pairings on TV because of the Xena/Gabrielle relationship, every six months for the past three years. In May 2012 it was time for a fifth conversation, and appropriately enough we welcomed back author/filmmaker Kim Pritekel, who had been involved with the previous three Xena shows as either a guest or a cohost. Rather than focus on fan fiction or "uberfic" tha

F4F Radio has been discussing "Xena: Warrior Princess", even now enormously popular among fans of lesbian pairings on TV because of the Xena/Gabrielle relationship, every six months for the past two years. Looks like it's time for a fifth conversation, and appropriately enough we welcome back author/filmmaker Kim Pritekel, who has been involved with the last three Xena shows as either a guest or a cohost. Rather than focus on fan fiction or "uberfic" this time, however, tonight we'll be discussing the television show itself. Kim and I will be joined, not by Xena fanfic authors, but by three longtime fans of the show - Zea Apa, Kelly Neal and Adm_Hawthorne. And we'll be talking about EVERYTHING we loved most about the show, from the subtext to the story arcs to the comedy.

Paula Coots is a rock guitarist with a band but now she’s also an author. Adam Lambert inspired her to explore new ways to express her creativity. Her e-novel, “Another Rock Star,” is the fictional depiction of an out-and-proud gay singer and his band as they survive “the circus of the music business, the rigors of the road, staying true to your art and discovering your heart.” Currently “Another Rock Star” is ranked number 2 in the Music section of Amazon’s Kindle Store.
Paula’s curiosity about the relationships between singers and their guitarists began at the age of 11, when she first saw David Bowie and Mark Ronson. She grew up to become a professional guitarist herself who has toured Germany, Ireland, Finland and South Africa with rock bands. But the memory of David Bowie and his guitarist never left her. And then she saw Adam kiss Tommy.
Join us on “Juneau & Xena’s Salon” when host Thea talks author-to-author with Paula Coots re: what she’s learned about “music and love and sex and life”… and the tattoo of Adam’s signature on her arm.
Adam Lambert really matters to Lynelle Paulick.
What else matters to this colorful Californian? Her degree in analytical philosophy focused on logic and the history of thought? Her 28-year career as a successful editor and writer? Her athletic achievements, including Ironman triathlons, world championships and roughwater ocean swim competitions?
No. Besides her partner, Klaus, one person matters to Lynelle: Adam Lambert.
Join us as Lynelle takes us through the “agony and ecstasy” of her quest to interview Adam for her next book, “Balancing Act: Insights of High Achievers.” She’ll reveal to us why she feels the need to tell certain people that she has absolutely no interest in getting “into [Adam’s] pants.” We’ll all identify with her as she talks about the first time she saw Adam on television and the effect it had on her entire family. She’ll have you remembering every detail of what it was like to go to GNT concerts, like the 3 she went to in Las Vegas and Honolulu.
Lynelle Paulick will have you laughing and crying as she joins us on this week’s “Juneau & Xena’s Salon.”
And we're ecstatically happy to report that Xena will be back this week!! Please join us to welcome her as she shares some of her favorite stories and memories of the wild ride we have been on.
We are delighted to welcome Emmy-nominated producer/artist Miles Masao Davis to our radio show to talk about the pedigreed pairing of Davis with platinum-selling Yellowcard drummer Longineu Parsons III as new duo LPMD. So much to talk about! And music to share!
Two weeks ago when we invited Editor Alice Miller (@plumcomm) to share favorite stories from AURA, the tribute magazine she created to "celebrate the life-changing connection between Adam Lambert and his fans," we barely had time to scratch the surface! So this week, Alice returns with Associate Producer Bellina to share more from this treasure trove, pairing each story with an appropriate Adam Lambert song! Join us tonight for this delectable literary and musical feast.

Kay Renee, formerly known as “Keisha” Renee’, was introduced to glamberts as a background singer for Adam Lambert, performing with him on his worldwide “Trespassing and “We Are Glamily” tours. Kay Renee’, currently dedicated to the craft of background singing, has also sung background for jazz artist Jill Scott and appeared in two of her videos in 2011. Rapper Nicki Minaj featured Kay Renee’ on her hit single, “Freedom” in 2012. Kay toured with Nicki on her “Pink Friday Roman Reloaded World Tour” that same year. A former contestant on “American Idol,” in 2012 Kay Renee’ returned to AI, only this time to perform with world-renowned entertainer Adam Lambert. That year she also performed with him on “Good Morning America” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Honing her already out-of-this-world vocal skills while further studying her craft, Kay Renee’ is preparing to take the world by storm as an entertainer in her own right. This Wednesday, October 16, as we listen to her music, she’ll talk with our own Thea about performing with these three icons in their fields, what lessons she’s learned on her journey to stardom and when and where we’ll see her next.
