Many people still believe that drugs and Bobby Brown were the main reasons "The Voice" departed from earth. A new book, "What really killed Whitney Houston"? gives us a powerful and insightful explanation that can help many of us understand "unconscious loyalties" that are keeping us from suceeding in life. This book gives us a look at Whitney's young life and the conflicts in her older life that kept her insecure and struggling to be a woman full of life, health and confidence.
Dr. Karen Wyatt first became involved in hospice work when she was recovering from her own grief over her father’s death from suicide. What she discovered from her work with dying patients was not only the means for healing her grief, but also a totally transformed vision for how to live a full and fearless life. In her remarkable book “What Really Matters: 7 Lessons for Living from the Stories of the Dying,” Karen distills the wisdom she learned from her hospice patients into a 7-step guidebook for life that has already had a transformative impact on readers.
Rebecca and Karen will discuss how we can learn from the dying what really matters in life and why these lessons are so important for the world right now. The discussion will focus on the purpose of suffering, why the practice of forgiveness is necessary for growth, how to find balance and grace during times of adversity, and the freedom that comes from facing our ultimate fear of death.
Listeners will learn how to live fully and fearlessly in difficult times.

Western religions teach a basic understanding of life that reduces human existence to about six thousand years and describes life as a battle between good and evil. From childhood, we are indoctrinated to fear the unknown and to believe that the Earth is the only place where life exists. At the end of life, according to religious teachings, one goes to either "Heaven" or "Hell." The Bible describes "Angels" who periodically appear as beings of light who convey information. Is this real or is it all fantasy? Who are these people? What if they are actually visitors from space? Current movies explore ideas of evil invaders from space coming to take over Earth and destroy its inhabitants, again indoctrinating us to live in fear. But what if our religious leaders have been all wrong about everything?Kwame Sunhorse Lackey discusses the global debate by those who have regular contact with beings outside of Earth: is the Earth population ready for global contact with its Galactic neighbors? How will open contact with these "beings of light" from other worlds affect long standing religious beliefs

Weight loss is one of the hottest topics ever. Everyone seems to be trying to lose weight nowadays. But what’s the difference between weight loss & fat loss? People seem to use both terms interchangeably. After reading this post you’ll understand the difference between weight loss & fat loss, but also which one you should aim for and how.
Weight Loss vs. Fat Loss. What’s the difference? Let’s start by defining weight loss & fat loss so you know what I mean here. Weight Loss. You want to lower your body-weight, the sum weight of your bones, muscles, organs, body fat, … Fat Loss. You want to lower your body fat, the amount of fat your body carries. Healthy goals are 10% body fat for men and 15% for women. Problems with Weight Loss. If you want to lose weight, it’s most likely because you carry too much fat. There are people who must lose weight, like athletes before a competition, but most want fat loss. So stop weighing yourself. Unreliable. Your body-weight can fluctuate daily since it’s influenced by your stomach/bowel/bladder content, water loss/retention, muscle loss/gain, fat loss/gain, … You’ll have no idea what’s going on. Irrelevant. 2 people with similar height can weigh the same, but look completely different because one has lower body fat than the the other. Check the picture at the top for an example. The last point shows why the BMI standard is flawed: it doesn’t take your body fat into account. Both guys in the top picture have the same BMI, but one is clearly healthier: his body fat is lower.
