The national attention drawn to Baltimore Raven's running back Ray Rice for knocking his then fiance Janay Palmer unconscious then dragging her out of an elevator has been the platform for many counselors and experts on domestic violence. The two have since married and a sad faced Janay has appeared on television stating that it was wrong for the NFL to suspend her husband Ray. Before one takes sides or bashes the man for being a batterer or tells the woman she must have low self esteem, we all must take a look at our own relationships. We have all chosen to live in a society that exploits and abuses us. If you are in a relationship with someone who treats you badly, don't ask "What's wrong with them?" or even "How can I change them?" Ask yourself "Why am I choosing to be abused?" Today's guest, Tom O'donnell, explains a basic system of cooperation that, if followed, can change the society we live in forever.
Tony Bowman writes Horror, Sci-Fi, & Thrillers. His first novel, Vales Hollow, published in early 2014, a thriller set in rural Pennsylvania follows the exploits of a mercenary team on the run from the CIA trying to fit into small town life while posing as a normal family. It's been described as "Grindhouse Popcorn meets Cyberpunk Romance". At its heart, it explores the necessity of sociopaths in modern society. In late spring 2014, he published a post apocalyptic horror novel, Turning the Darkness. Set in a world overrun by a demonic invasion, the book details the struggle of the protagonists to turn back the invasion and save the remnants of humanity. It will followed by a series of novels set after the invasion called Valkyrie. His latest novel, Nine Fingers, releasing in late September by Dark Alley Publishing and is about werewolves in modern day Bedford, Virginia. A lead-in novella, Nine Fingers: The Tucson Ripper, will be available on his blog: http:\\thattonybowman.blogspot.com.
Henderson Smith is an award-winning screenplay writer with a deep love of fairytales. Her debut book, The Ugly Princess, is based on the screenplay of the same name, which won numerous screenplay awards, including the Adult/Family Screenplay Competition Award in the 2001 Austin Film Festival. A compelling, unusual fairytale that puts a new twist on an age-old theme, The Ugly Princess tells a story not often told, showing how judgmental people can be regarding appearances, and ultimately speaks to the beauty within. Henderson dedicates The Ugly Princess to all the young girls who stand on the sidelines wishing they too could be beautiful, in the hopes that they will find in her work the encouragement to open their eyes to their own magic and realize how beautiful they truly are and the power they already yield.

For many Americans, the word "Airpower" is defined by the exploits of the Eighth Air Force flying from England to bomb targets in Germany and occupied Europe. But there was much more to American airpower during World War II, then just the efforts of, "The Mighty Eighth." One of the more notable contributions to the Allied victory in Europe came from the U.S. Fiftheenth Air Force, based in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. Though smaller than the Eighth, the Fifteenth Air Force was more diverse, and in some ways had a more challenging and varietal target set to prosecute. These ranged from radar stations that had to be destroyed prior to the invasion of the French Riviera in the summer of 1944, to the massive petroleum production facilities at Ploesti in Hungary. The Fifteenth Air Force was also the home to the all-Negro 332nd Fighter Group, the famous "Redtails" which had been trained as an "experiment" at Tuskegee, Alabama. And in spite of having been forgotten by most aviation historians, the men of the Fifteenth Air Force created a combat record as substantial as any other of World War II.
To learn more about the Fifteenth Air Force, join military historian, author and journalist John D. Gresham (@greshamj01) for Military Monday at 1 p.m. Eastern. His guest this week is well known aviation historian and Regency History Press author Barrett Tillman, whose new book, FORGOTTEN FIFTEENTH, chronicles the men, missions, and story of this little-known aerial armada. Together they will take listeners through a Mediterranean odyssey, combining World War II's most advanced weapons and aircraft, with a region as old as history itself. Listeners are encouraged to call in and offer both questions and opinions, and what should be a most enlightening hour of history for aviation buffs.

On Thursday September 4th, 2014 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon
will present a discussion on Shamgar, son of the Canaanite War Goddess Anath "who killed 600 Philistines with an ox goad and saved Israel "(over a hundred years before Samson) and became a Judge (ruler of all the tribes) of Israel. Shamgar's story is briefly told in the Biblical Book of Judges. Beyond that lies the realm of myth and legend in which it is suggested that Shamgar was a Phoenician pirate called "Tekheleth Tholi." The Purple Dragon based in Tyre and sent by King Abi Milki to aid the Israeites against the Philistines. He joins the host of the Hebrew Judge Ehud, and marries his daughter Jael, who eventually tries to kill him. His ox goad is said to have been a magical weapon forged by
the blacksmith Tubal Cain. The legend is perpetuated in the Gnostic Christian tradition of Marcus from whom we get the Greek Qabalah. Shamgar's exploits should be considered symbolic rather than historic, like the story of Hiram Abiff in Masonry or the Labors of Hercules in Phoenician and Greek astrological lore. If you want to return to the days when Gods and Giants walked the earth, tune in and we'll evoke the shade of Shamgar.

What are Superfoods exactly and why are they called Superfoods?
ORAC Values explained briefly
Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, a scalar value derived in the laboratory for comparing the antioxidant content of different foods or nutritional supplements.
The superfood trend exploits the fact that healthy lifestyle choices, including diet, can reduce our risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, stroke and cancer.
The food industry wants to persuade us that eating some foods can slow down the ageing process, lift depression, boost our physical ability and even our intelligence.
In our discussion we chat about the Raw Booster Sachet Superfood blend and all the 9 Superfoods in the sachet
Organic Kelp, Organic apple Powder, Alfalfa, Acai Berry, Organic Linseed Powder, Organic Acerola Powder, Spirulina, Rosehip and Chlorella
as well as other superfoods.
We chat about the therapuetic benefits of incorporating them into your weekly meal plans.
Eg Acai berry improves stamina therefore giving you more energy for sports - it may improve the blood flow and circulation
