Whether it's a "sexy thug" like Jeremy Meeks to have them swinging from the ceiling, or a handsome/wholesome man of God to pray with them... exactly what qualities are most important to black women when seeking a husband remains up for debate. Please join me on "The Dedan Tolbert Show" LIVE tonight at 9:00pm EST, where we'll discuss "What do Black Women Want in a Man" and discuss the main reasons many women are unable to recognize a truly great man when they see one. To also hear us discuss: women proposing to men, the Obamas allowing their kids to listen to Jay Z and Beyonce, the United States impending war with Russia, Michelle Williams' new gospel song with Beyonce & Kelly Rowland, the new James Brown movie, and the results of this week's Emotional Availability Pop Quizzes...call 646 200 0366 or listen online worldwide at www.dedantolbertshow.com... "REAL Radio that Matters".
Sex and love are two very different things, although they mix well. For years it has been popular to use the word love when sex is the real subject matter. Lots of people say “let’s make love” when “let’s have sex” is what is really meant. Some sex phobic people find the word love less offensive or more a polite term to use when needing to say something about sex. You may think, “Why not use the word love when talking or writing about sex”? Here are some of the main possible ‘why’s’.
Come join us and give your input on the two words and how they can stand for more....
What women really want is a mystery to most men. The PolitiChicks, Ann-Marie Murrell, Morgan Brittany, and Dr. Gina Loudon will lay it down in plain, simple English for us. Tune in!
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

Join us today on Women Leading the Way Radio as Shawn Mari Turi, your host of Business is Personal (aka: what you do and why you do it... REALLY MATTERS!), interviews Caroline Mankey, Lawyer & Partner of Cypress, LLP.
“Having it All” (in life + career) is certainly a subjective idea. When it comes up in conversation, it’s clear… ‘Who’s a fan and who’s a critic’. Whatever side of the conversation you land on, there’s no doubt, women are talking about it, being more honest and unapologetic and sharing what they truly want to have, do and experience and ‘this’ is a conversation you’re going to want to be part of.
Caroline will be sharing her ideas and practices for what ‘having it all’ means to her. She will also talk about how she maintains and even successfully nurtures her own identity and autonomy, while working for a firm and partnership, as well as how she makes herself and her firm known in an undeniably competitive and crowded industry. The conversation promises to be lively, authentic and radically honest and Shawn Marie will ask Caroline… “Can women really have it all?”…. “What does she think it takes to land big clients? …. and of course …. “Does ‘Business IS Personal’ resonate with her and if so…. why?”
