Iris and Priya return for another candid conversation about women entering the wisdom years of 60! Join us for another engaging conversation about things we often do not really talk about in public, at least honestly and openly. Todays episode is about "happy to be single". So many of us women are single in our midlife. In a culture that is fixated on being in relationship as the only path to fulfillment for a woman, being single can be a real challenge. The big one is being alright with being single in the face of all of the negative conditioning that we have grown up with that tells us that we are not ok if we are not together with someone aka "Married". Once we get over that big hurdle and settle into ourselves then there are the questions of how to get our social, sexual and intimacy needs met. It takes a village of the sisterhood to break through the viels that keep us isolated, alone and in despair about our being single. Let's move through it together so that we can celebrate our lives as sovereign women loving oursleves and eachother!

While they've got a long way to go, women are finally starting to make some headway in Fortune 500 companies. The 24 female Fortune 500 CEOs represents only about 5 percent, but it is a record. More women are finding themselves in leadership positions and in board rooms. Now that they're getting to lead important questions arise: can women lead without just "being one of the boys?" What does it look like to lead and be a woman at the same time? We'll answer those questions and more Wednesday, April 15th at 3PM ET on the latest episode of IT Life radio.
Those also happen to be some of the questions Debora McLaughlin answers in Running in High Heels: How to Lead with Influence, Impact, and Ingenuity. Debora will draw on her years as a leader, an executive coach, and her interviews with female CEOs to talk about what female leadership looks like. In our episode we'll discuss:
Whether there are differences in the way men and women lead and how that changes the enterprise.
What leadership lessons women and men can learn from female CEOs
The best leadership lessons available from an experience executive coach
Debora McLaughlin is the best-selling author of “The Renegade Leader: 9 Success Strategies Driven Leaders Use to Ignite People, Performance and Profits.” Her new book, “Running in High Heels: How to Lead with Influence, Impact & Ingenuity,” is a how-to leadership companion for women in business. Woman or man, if you are a leader this show is a must listen.
Two shows ago guest host, Logic, made a comment that men's lives are more difficult than women's. Co-host, Cee, was very offended by this comment which started GENDER WARS!!
Based on this episode's debate, as well as comments and polls on social media, we will let our listeners know WHO HAS IT HARDER???
But, before we do, what do you think? Women? Men? or Equally as hard?
We will also listen to a song by Tara Hendricks, "Who I Am"

Why are women afraid to invest in themselves? In a recent Forbes article I read, the author listed 5 reasons women are afraid to invest in themselves:
-They feel they need to check in with someone else first.
-They're not sure if it's the "right" time for them.
-They're are not clear about the return on their investment.
- They're scared they may actually achieve success.
- They feel they should use their money on other family members or on someone else.
These are just a few of the reasons, If you feel you have struggle with this mindset and you want to gain some clarity on what makes sense for you right now, join me and my guest host Tamarra Causley Robinson as we share our experience and expertise on this subject.
As women many times we are focused on helping everyone else but ourselves, when actually you are a help to no one if you are running on empty. We know how it feels to be in this position because we have been there ourselves. It's time to find your voice and we are here to support you in doing so.

Welcome to Women In Solutions! My name is Suzanne Marie and I am the host here. For years I have wanted to help other women with whatever issues that they are having in their lives because there were and still are times in my life where I had problems and could not find solutions. I struggled alot in the past with addiction of all kinds, sick relationships that were unhealthy and violent, running this way, running that way - never knowing who to turn to who I could trust, hitting brick walls, I believe that all of my issues have ceom from my childhood. I believe we bring into our adulthood all the garbage that is still hanging onto us. It is time to bring about a solution now! And, that is why I have created this radio show - just for that - for all women out there who would like to share their stories here and then working together to find solutions to help us find a better way of life - a life filled with peace, happiness some balance instead of the chaos that has surrounded so many of us in our lives. I invited you to call in and share - you are able to remain anonymous if you so chose, this is a safe haven, a place of refreshment and upliftment! It is hopefully a place to heal and become your true authentic self!
We understand leadership emanates from a person and is not embedded in a position, role or hierarchy. Women, in particular, cultivate power through connection and strengthen others by creating a sense of purpose. The qualities generally attributed to women - collaboration, sharing and mentoring - are the very qualities we long for in leaders.
As agents of change in businesses, organizations and families, women tend to focus on the growth and development of their employees, students and children. Their investment inspires passion, courage and creativity. And with a dedication to the greater good, women nurture vibrant relationships to create a purposeful community which results in a shared commitment.
Join the discussion today as I interview Elaine Stenger from the Cairn Venture Group about the organization and it's mission. The Cairn Venture Group launched the Women’s Leadership Retreat. At the Retreat, they bring dynamic women leaders together to:
• Explore the provocative and difficult issues facing our communities
• Build resources by connecting women across sectors: business, social services, education and families
• Strengthen our unique leadership skills through educational and self-renewing activities
Join us today on Women Leading the Way Radio as we turn the tables upside down for our Serving Up Diversity show, as Michelle Bergquist, host of Women Who Lead will interview Cecile Bereal, President & CEO of RMA Management Alliance, Inc.
