Mountain West media days take place in Las Vegas on July 22 and 23, so to get everyone prepared we decided to preview the event. Not a ton of news comes out of media day so Matthew, Jeremy and Chris predict who the media will pick to win the Mountain and West divisions, plus the offensive and defensive players of the year.
Since no one from the staff can be at media days we go out of our way to pick who we would like to talk to the most from players and coaches. We give legitimate questions as well some off the all one's, too.
Have a listen as we get everyone prepped for the event to signifies football is just around the corner.
Jeremy and Chris are starting to preview and breakdown the Mountain West football season. We are starting with a big breakdown of how we think the league will finish with bowl projections, key players and early Mountain West title game participants.
This is early to do this but going forward we will be breaking down each team once a week up until the season begins, and then we will likely revisit these projections come late August.
Richard Diaz caught up with Joseph Gray, 2014 USA Mountain Running National Champion on his way to the Kendall Mountain Sky Race. Winning The US Mountain Running Championship means Joe will travel to the World Championships in Italy this summer with US Team.
Gray took home his ninth national title Sunday, capturing the 2014 USA Mountain Running Championship on Loon Mountain in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Gray won his third USA Mountain Running crown, finishing in 45:52.3. The race marked Gray’s first national title on an uphill-only course with Loon Mountain featuring an average of 10% grade throughout the race with an insanely steep course to reach the finish line.
We are back! Jeremy Mauss and Chris Hondros bring back the podcast on a regular basis (at least once a week) as we trek forward toward the 2014 college football season.
Monday night's show will recap spring football and we will be looking at the plethora of position battles at quarterback around the league. We will discuss UNLV's postseason ban and also the TV schedule that has been released for most of the Mountain West games.
The Mountain West had their spring meetings recently and discussed many topics including expansion, the length of the college basketball conference seasons, competing with bigger conferences and extra money from the college football playoff.
We will also get into some transfer -- or really non-transfer news -- UNLV basketball getting to showcase recruits at the 18-U national team and of course other randomness since this is still a mostly college football show and it is May.

Correction, the 144,000 are virgins, not defiled by women and they r the redeemed of the Lord- the first fruits....I said it wrong in broadcast.....
holy mount- Even as I type forth the Lord reminds me of this verse... Isaiah 35:8-read in context-
My daughter, there is much
more to be revealed and to be spoken forth concerning the mountain of God, the mountain of Holiness, the mountain
that burns up everything in its path. For mine chosen vessels are in this path, Upon this mountain
comes now forth the cleansing and purification of my sons and my daughters. This is the mountain
of divine perception and divine revelation. This MOUNTAIN IS THE MOUNTAIN OF AN HOLY CONSECRATION.
For I the Lord am calling my elect to this place. It is in this place of divine
revelation, dreams, in visions, and in divine thoughts that I the Lord am placing
within my chosen vessels, for I the Lord, I AM calling My elect to such a place at this time. It is in holiness that I
NOW COMMAND and NOW CALL FORTH My vessels of honor saith the Lord.
For upon the one mountain was of being trained up, It was upon this mountain that many fell and would not endure and
forsake all to come
up higher and learn from Me and My Righteous ways, saith the Lord. For my ways are just and my ways are holy.
Now comes forth the holiness mountain. (as He spoke forth I saw myself upon the white snow covered mountain- the path had been made)
The place where my chosen vessels will stand, for they have endured much
and have been tried much. Mine elect did not forsake Me, but forsook all else to follow Holy after Me, saith the Lord.
more to come forth :
We kick off our third year as YOUR Wisconsin-sports podcast by bringing on another former Wisconsin Badgers standout in the NFL. Linebacker Conor O'Neill talks about the emotions he experienced after the Chicago Bears told him they would sign him as a free agent in June, his training preparation for the NFL, and who he thinks will lead the 2014 Badgers defense under defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.
Plus, we'll talk LeBron James heading back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and how that'll affect the Milwaukee Bucks. If LeBron can be forgiven in Cleveland, what would it take for Badgers fans to forgive Bret Bielema, or Green Bay Packers fans to forgive Brett Favre?
Can the Milwaukee Brewers get out of their funk to start the second half of the season? Their rough two weeks are looked at, and also we discuss the tragic loss of shortstop Jean Segura's son. We give our sincere thoughts and prayers to the Segura family during this rough and trying time.
Happy Father's Day! We have another jam-packed show.
At 8:30 - BadgerNation's Ben Worgull joins the show to talk about all the Wisconsin Badgers recruiting news. Who committed to the Badgers after their huge weekend camp? We'll let you know!
We'll also talk some Northwoods League baseball with the Madison Mallards' Tyler Isham, Assistant General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Advertising. We'll talk about the great promotions they run each year for the fans, how this year's Mallards team has some Madison roots to it, and whether he thinks there's a fanbase for a Big Ten baseball team for the Wisconsin Badgers (though we know the uphill climb it would take for that to happen).
Plus, Milwaukee Brewers, Major League Baseball, and more!
