"The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli returns. However, this is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing back to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. Be prepared for "mad science" of sports at its best.
This week is a special epsiode of The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab, as at 10pm, he welcomes Kansas City Royals legend Willie Mays Aikens into the lab. Aikens was once one of the most feared hitters of the late 1970' and early 1980's with the Royals, helping lead Kansas City to the AL pennant in 1980. However, drugs overcame him, and he ended up in prison for almost 20 years. However, since his release in 2008, Aikens has has spoken at schools about his experiences and to the Royals’ young players, always hoping to return to baseball. In November 2008, apologized to Royals fans and the people of Kansas City in the Kansas City Star. In 2011, he returned to the Royals Family in the organization, and has since wrote a book about his rise, fall and rebirth "Safe At Home". As an extra added attraction, JP Muzio, former host of The Sports Ministry and Off The Wall, will be joining me on the interview.
Also appearing this week - 1030pm, Andrew Garda of NJ.com and Bleacher Report to talk some New Jersey college sports (Rutgers, Seton Hall and more); 11pm, Derek Helling of Outside Pitch MLB returns to preview the American League West; 1130pm, Matt Zemek of The Student Section to talk some NCAA Basketball and a Preview to March Madness.
The beacons are lit, the experiments are set, and "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab" is open for study!!!

Today on the BeachLifestyle Radio Show, Host Neil Haley The Total Tutor will interview one of the best Kansas City Royals player of All-Time! Willie Mays Aikens will discuss his book Willie Mays Aikens: Safe at Home!
Willie Aikens was a mighty slugger for the early 80s Royals, whose career and life were derailed by a terrible addiction to cocaine. He had terrific power, but was inept defensively. He played magnificently in the 1980 World Series, and had things bounced the Royals way, might have been Series MVP. Willie had a brief career in Major League baseball that was shortened prematurely by drug abuse. By age thirty he was washed up and out of baseball. And that would be the least of his problems.
Willie Mays Aikens was born in Seneca, South Carolina. He was given his famous name by the doctor who delivered him, thrusting great expectations on the newborn baby. Willie attended South Carolina State University, a historically black college and in 1975, he was taken by the California Angels in the January Amateur Draft. He opened eyes his second professional season, when he led the league in homers with 30 for AA El Paso while slugging .554. He hit .336 the next season for AAA Salt Lake City, slugging .569, while spending some time in the big leagues for the Angels.?
If it isn't it should apparent to any red-blooded conservative that the current conservative/Republican infrastructure is not sufficient to move the message of conservatism any farther than it is right now. It is time to build a new infrastructure that is willing to move into new areas in news ways to touch new people. A very important aspect of this infrastructure is media. Current Republicans are, and for good reason, afraid of the liberal media spin on anything that they don't like. We have to understand that the bully pulpit is controled by media sources that are not friendly to the conservative cause. And they broadcast to every corner of the world 24/7. The only ways to combat that media machine is to buy them, fire everyon there and replace them with journalists, not activists. Or build a separate more powerful media infrastructure. The Willie Lawson Show nad show like it are ready to become the pillars of that new infrastructure. Help us by investing in our future.
