While KaliSara is presenting at Heartland Pagan Festival this weekend, RevKess will be chatting with new Pagan musician Bran Cerddorion about his debut album, "Four Branches: Tales of the Mabinogi in Song"
Bran is a bard at heart, inspired by the realms in which myth, Nature, and dream come together. As a practitioner of Druidry and the Bardic arts, he focuses the creative flow of the Awen into writing songs that promote peace, a reverence for the world around us, and the stories we tell each other, but not without a touch of humor. He began playing music around 2007-08 when his brother taught him to play the mandolin, and together they wrote and played many a song. He shortly picked up the guitar as he developed an interest in the Paganism, Druidry, and Bardistry, and continues to craft his music in a Celtic-inspired folk tradition.
His upcoming freshman album, "Four Branches: Tales of the Mabinogi in Song," tells the tales of the Welsh Mabinogion, and is scheduled to be released in summer 2015.
Bran can be found on Facebook and his website.

Join me for a conversation with Mary Reynolds Thompson, author of Reclaiming the Wild Soul. Come on a journey into Earth’s five great landscapes and explore them as aspects of our deeper, wilder selves. Where the inner and outer worlds meet, we discover the silence and simplicity of deserts, the mystery of forests, the flow of oceans and rivers, the inspiration of mountains, and the regenerative spirit of the grasslands. These are “soulscapes” revealing the beauty and magnificence of our own true nature, providing us with a path of personal transformation aligned with the healing of the wild Earth. This interview originally aired on Empower Radio.
Join us this week on Christian Devotions SPEAK UP! when Scott interview Beth Saadati.
Beth Saadati has sown her time and heart into the lives of hundreds of teens—and reaped an abundance of laughter and life in return. A certified high school English teacher, she is currently teaching composition classes, homeschooling her son (age nine) and daughter (age twelve), and crafting a novel.
For more than two decades Beth has taught in public school, private school, and home school settings. Jenna, Beth's effervescent firstborn daughter, was her favorite teenage student before Beth lost her, without warning, to suicide resulting from bullying. On January 2, 2013, the world as Beth had known it forever changed.
Now, through speaking and writing, Beth encourages others to fight through heartbreak and hurt as she transparently journeys through the painful aftermath of her beloved daughter's death. Four of Beth’s stories have been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul books in 2015. She was also awarded first place in the SC chapter of American Christian Fiction Writers' first five pages contest.
Beth is working on a young adult novel, Breathe, based on Jenna's true story. At the 2015 Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference (BRMCWC), this book received the BelieversTrust Beyond the Steeple Award for the work deemed to hold the greatest potential to impact a mainstream audience.
