    Beyond the Standard—Weighing the Numbers

    in Christianity

Of all the names and numbers reported in the May issue of Christian Standard, we'll introduce you to three of them in this helpful episode:

Brian Kruckenberg, lead pastor with New City Church in Phoenix, Arizona will talk about his congregation's remarkable growth, 61.5% in 2014!

The second fastest-growing church reporting to us was Lifepointe Church in Raleigh, NC at 36.2 percent. Donnie Williams, Lifepointe's lead pastor, will join our panel.

Our third guest is Bo Chancey, senior pastor with Manchester (NH) Christian Church. This congregation achieved the highest baptism ratio, 17.7 percent. That means for every 100 people in the congregation's 2014 average, the church baptized almost 18 people.

We want to know how these congregations achieved this kind of outreach. Please listen for ideas and be ready to ask your questions of these dynamic church leaders.

We will have a special guest on the show tonight and he is bringing some information that I'm sure you all will want to hear. In the 2nd hour we will open the line for callers.  We look forward to all of your calls, thoughts, and comments. Brief descriptions of tonight's topics are listed below. See you guys at 8pm EST.

Madden 16 Impressions - Today's show will be all about Madden 16. We will give our impressions as well as get the impressions from the callers. We will be looking for a lot of crowd participation on this one. We feel like this will be a SPECIAL show.

Nyeph1's ratings -  A lot of you guys know Nyeph already but for those that don't he is one of the best in the business when it comes to rating rosters. You have seen his work in BackBreaker, All Pro Football 2K8, and Madden 08, just to name a few. He will be coming on the show to discuss his method and how he rates his rosters.

NBA 2K16's Trailer - We will be discussing the trailer but not in the traditional way. We will be asking if you can tell what the gameplay differences are just by looking at the trailer? Does it look different from 2K15? Why is it that people always say a game looks the same as last year, are there any games that don't look like their prior year's version at first glance?

  • Sim Standard Radio Episode 66 - NBA Live 16 news, Madden 16 thoughts, and more!

    in Video Games

NBA Live 16 Live Run, Pro AM, Summer Circuit - There is so much to talk about here. AzureEffect will be giving his hands on impressions of Live's new game modes. We will also discuss how Live fires back at NBA 2K with allowing free access to their new modes 10 days before 2K's early release. Is Live now a respectable competitor? Will more people make the switch or at least give live a try?

Madden NFL 16 - Creative Director Rex Dickson is scheduled to call in tonight. As you guys may be aware right now some of us currently have Madden 16. We will give our thoughts of the state of the game. Is Madden 16 a win for the sim community? If so, why? Do you now believe in the Madden Devs?

Pro Evolution Soccer (PES 2016) - The PES 2016 demo is now available and we will give our thoughts on the demo. We will also discuss the recent video put out by myself (Sim) in regards to no game is perfect. I used the PES 2016 demo to showcase things that I would like to see improved in all sports games that are played on a grass field.

    in Video Games

Welcome back Sim Gamers. We are excited to have you join us for another show. We have some nice topics to discuss tonight and we can't wait to hear your thoughts. In the second hour we will open the line for your calls. Brief descriptions of tonight's topics are listed below. See you guys at 8pm EST.

2K Sports and CLC/College Teams - We touched on this briefly last week but we want to further discuss our thoughts on what this all means. What are the details? Will the college teams be playable? Why does it always take 2K so long to show gameplay?

Everyone has their own priority list with Madden - This is a topic that could go on and on for days, we will cover a lot with this one topic. We will basicially discuss how it's all a matter of opinion.

Are sports and sim gamers pushed to the back burner? - This topic comes from faithful caller 205 (Alabama). He feels like sports gamers seem to be behind with innovation. The example he gave was Battlefield's Frostbite Engine, he would like to know why EA Sports didn't use that engine for their games going into this generation. We will give our thoughts on the subject.
