Dr. Allan Hunter: Reflections from Watertown
A spiritual author, counselor and professor caught in the midst of last week's events in Watertown and Boston, Dr. Allan Hunter will reflect upon Gratitude and the realities of our human journey.
A resident of Watertown who often assists others through his counseling, Allan is a professor at the Blue Hills Writing Institute at Curry College. Allan's latest book is Gratitude and Beyond: Five Insights for a Fulfilled Life.
Allan has written several inspirational books, including The Path of Synchronicity, Spiritual Hunger, The Six Archetypes of Love, Life Passages, The Sanity Manual, Write Your Memoir and more.
Allan has a PhD in English Literature from Oxford University and started his career working with troubled adolescents, later teaching prisoners in Massachusetts.
His own experience of what occurred in Watertown and Boston is a very human story, which he continues to integrate through the perspective of his spiritual and life journey.

The NY Hip Hop Report - Year Two Begins
Tonight, we begin year two of The NY Hip Hop Report.
It's really a unique concept. A talk radio show, that focuses on New York-area hip hop artists, music, events and organizations.
It follows in the groundbreaking footsteps of our parent organization (the newly resdesigned) BirthplaceMag.com.
So, as you've been doing every week for the past year, please join us live from 10p-11pto discuss all things NY hip hop, the good, the bad and the ugly.
As always, we'd love your interaction in our chat room and by calling us up.
We have some great things in store, this, and every show. Thanks for supporting us throughout the past year. It means a lot to us, and we think it's been very helpful for New York's hip hop music and culture.

The NY Hip Hop Report - Ep. 51 - Is Hip Hop In a Good Place?
Birthplace Magazine, the award-winning online publication that covers New York-area hip hop, presents The NY Hip Hop Report, a weekly "talk radio" show, which discusses hip hop with a NY state of mind.
For episode 051, one short of one full year, show hosts Manny Faces and Steven Ortiz will talk about hip hop from a big picture, thinking about the past year, current events and the greater pop culture landscape.
Of course, as always, they will slant the talk toward a NY-area perspective, and take calls from listeners, who often provide great commentary themselves.
