This Just In ... Rick Tamlyn is riffing with the world in his new series, This Just In with Rick Tamlyn.
The concept for this program came about because Rick has always given the world his inspiration, and - in his own words - he sees a world that doesn’t focus on the “bad” news of the day, he sees a world that celebrates the power of human potential, a world in which people tap into their own creative power and create a bigger game – no matter how public or personal - that benefits not only them - also their community and ultimately the world at large.
Expect just about anything in this series, which premieres on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 8 AM ET, and airs bi-monthly. The second April program airs on April 20th.

One of my facebook friends posted a photo of a watch she purchased as a Christmas gift for her Dad. It was a beautiful timepiece and the packaging was just as classy. Not only did she post the photo, she gave a little narrative about the watch. You see my friend was purposefully purchasing from black owned businesses that year. She was practicing Ujamaa, one of the 7 principles of Kwanzaa. Ujamaa is all about cooperative economics. The art of building and maintaining our own stores, shops, and other businesses and to profit from them.
So, it turns out that the Founder and President of this awesome watch company is a young black man. I was geeked to say the least. I started researching this Dude online. His name is Randy Williams and he lives in Viginia. And, the story behind the inception of his company is just as rich as the brand he has built and continues to cultivate.
Randy, successfully funded his first large manufacturing run through a program called kickstarter. When you get a chance, check out is website www.TalleyandTwine.com and check out the video in his successful kickstarter campaign that raised over $29,000 Talley&Twine Kickstarter campaign .

Pro 31:27 She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.
The birth and development of the American police can be traced to a multitude of historical, legal and political-economic conditions. The institution of slavery and the control of minorities, however, were two of the more formidable historic features of American society shaping early policing. Slave patrols and Night Watches, which later became modern police departments, were both designed to control the behaviors of minorities. For example, New England settlers appointed Indian Constables to police Native Americans (National Constable Association, 1995), the St. Louis police were founded to protect residents from Native Americans in that frontier city, and many southern police departments began as slave patrols. In 1704, the colony of Carolina developed the nation's first slave patrol. Slave patrols helped to maintain the economic order and to assist the wealthy landowners in recovering and punishing slaves who essentially were considered property.
Stop close your eyes and take a deep breath do that a few times until you feel yourself relax. Now I would like you to think about yiur current life. How do you see if? Do you consider yourself struggling, or just in a season of struggle I know it may sound like a play on words, but it makes a difference how we see our situations. It is important that we see them from God's perspective because it is much different than ours. Yet God's way is always better than ours. He is eternal he is great, and he watches out for us in all that we do. We want to have a postive outlook that brings the energy of Christ to our day.
