Today on Unspoken Words, Robert Dunn chats with Laura D'Asaro! Laura D’Asaro and Rose Wang, who founded Six Foods, plan to get around the yuck factor with insect-based foods that don’t look like the creepy-crawlies they come from. Their cricket flour is about 70 per cent protein by weight – the idea is to blend it into recipes for chips and cookies alongside the other typical ingredients. The foods come out looking and tasting like things people are already used to eating, only with a boost in nutritional value.
Host Paul Booth and Lulu Wang director of TOUCH discuss her film and its selection to the 2015 PALM SPINGS INTERNATIONAL SHORTSFEST and FILM MARKET.
Hour one: Dealmoon. Jennifer Wang, Co-Founder.
Dealmoon is a shopping website where you can find products from China as well as domestic products as well.
Hour two: Chatlight.
Chatlight is the first light made specifically for video chatting that’s rechargeable. Chatlight fits almost all of your devices and has fully adjustable lighting brightness and direction. Its bulbs last 50,000 hours and battery lasts 90 minutes on a single charge. Chatlight mounts to your favorite smartphone, tablet, or laptop to beautifully illuminate all of your video chats and selfies! Chatlight works with smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop monitors that are less than 3/4” inch thick. It does not matter how good your web cam is, the primary foundation of a good image is the lighting, not the lens. If there is insufficient lighting, even a good lens will battle to find focus and clarity. A good lens does not fix bad quality light.
