My name is Walter B. Biondi (Walt Biondi, pronounced Bee-on-dee) I'm a bestselling author of Jeremiah's Tale and my awaited newest suspense novel, The Promiscuous Puppeteer (Tate Publishing) will debut, nationally and internationally, on August 12.
* I traded filthy torn clothes for a 3 piece suit and a tuxedo;
* I traded a park bench, bed of leaves, and a jail cell, for a coveted executive corner office suite and international travel;
* I traded being victimized by criminals and crooked cops for overseeing massive Federal law enforcement missions;
* I traded a 9th grade education (never having attended the 10th, 11th or 12th grades), for a university B.A. degree (with honors).
* I traded life on the brink and stealing bread to exist (as in Jean ValJean in Les Miserables,) for a life of success, comfort, privilege and abundance.
* I went from hiding from street cops to meeting with the heads of local, state, Federal and international law enforcement agencies and receiving the
President's Distinguished Federal Senior Executive Award.
My last book, entitled Jeremiah's Tale, was a bestseller in 2009 and in 2013. It is a story, as told by a chance observer. Please go to his link to learn more about Walter.
WALTER DOMINGUEZ, Latino award winning filmmaker
Being a CTE Teacher in my other life I hear all the time about students who are going to leave high school and immediately make the “Big Time $$$$” in some field of Entertainment and so today I wanted to talk to someone who has actually “been there, done that”. I give full credit for borrowing the show descriptions from my friends at Armando F. Sanchez productions and for the Information Provided by Walter’s Public Relations People
In our fast-paced, chaotic world, it is difficult (if not impossible) to imagine the lives of those who came before us, even just two generations ago. And yet, more than ever, each of us still has a yearning to connect with the past, to better understand those who came before us and made us who we are.
That is the journey undertaken by filmmaker Walter Dominguez in the extraordinary documentary “Weaving the Past: Journey of Discovery.”
As a young man, Dominguez was inspired by his grandfather, Emilio, known as “Tata,” who was one of the most prominent and beloved Mexican Methodist ministers in idyllic Santa Paula in rural Southern California. A community leader who was known for his generous heart and kind spirit, Tata died in 1973. Three decades later, with the generation that knew Tata best quickly dying away, Dominguez picked up his camera to uncover the long-hidden secrets of Tata’s earliest years.
Walter brings to this award-winning film his unique sensibility as a storyteller and his perspective as an American Latino. Walter’s skills are a result of his extensive background as a director, assistant director, 2nd unit director, writer and producer in Hollywood studio features, television series, independent features.
Walter Dominguez is a Southern California born and raised Latino documentary filmmaker.
Walter wrote, directed and produced his new independently made documentary feature film, Weaving the Past: Journey of Discovery, which follows Walter’s twelve year search to find his grandfather Emilio’s roots in 19th century Mexico and early 20th century Los Angeles.
His quest reveals Emilio’s deep friendship with one of Mexico’s great revolutionary heroes, Práxedis G. Guerrero, and their courageous and idealistic struggle to free Mexico of its oppressive dictator, Porfirio Díaz.

Walter’s skills are a result of his extensive background as a director, assistant director, 2nd unit director, writer and producer in Hollywood studio features, television series, independent features, and documentary video production.
His credits as an assistant director include The Andromeda Strain, and Oklahoma Crude for Hollywood legends Robert Wise and Stanley Kramer, Play It As It Lays from auteur filmmaker Frank Perry, and Steven Ihnat’s contemporary western The Honkers. He has directed 2nd-unit for the cult thriller feature, Devil Times Five, as well as for Frank Perry’s Play It As It Lays.
He has been a member of the Director’s Guild of America (DGA) since 1972, as well as a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), Film Independent (FIND), and the International Documentary Association (IDA).
Walter is a graduate of Occidental College, having majored in history, and he did graduate work in Cinema Studies at the USC School of Cinema.
He has been married to veteran actress Shelley Morrison since 1973.

Tune in as the Sistas chat with Russell Stevensen, author of For the Cause of Righteousness: A Global History of Black and Mormonism, 1830 - 2013. Russell's newest work seeks to explore the story of blacks and Mormonism through an intimate lens, focusing not only on the experiences of church leaders but also the ordinary Latter-day Saint: the day laborer nervous about his African ancestry, the West African woman establishing her own ‘Mormon’ congregation, the Pat Boone-loving Mormon missionary in Africa and the Black Panther musing on the Mormons’ wasted potential. Robert Orsi has argued that religion ‘comes into being in an ongoing, dynamic relationship with realities of everyday life.’ Race was both a spoken and lived experience. The Mormon people witnessed it, felt it, and absorbed it. But for the Mormon people, racism was also a conscious decision—and one that exacted a heavy toll during their epoch in the wilderness.
Host Cyrus Webb welcomes back Walter Dominguez and Shelley Morrison to Conversations LIVE to discuss the response to WEAVING THE PAST and what they hope new viewers will glean from it.

''Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. I have done my best to bring truth to the world and it has left me in a terrible situation. I helped my friend Jordan Maxwell with his legal defense and now it is my turn to be helped.''-- R. Blattberg
EXCERPT from Mad World
by Russell Blattberg
Why am I here? What is the meaning and purpose of life? What in point of fact is actually the truth? These questions have plagued humanity since the dawn of time.... So how do we resolve these seemingly insolvable preponderances? Why is the world so crazy? What's really going on? Every question can be answered, but a simple answer does not suffice, and only sparks thousands of additional questions. I am just one man, with one perspective, but I will attempt to reconcile these burning issues. Where does one begin? I began at 11:10 p.m. December 8th, 1988 at Boston Brigham and Women's Hospital. Why? Is a better question. I believe that I came in order to help... With what exactly? The situation on this planet. I certainly did not plan it. If this were "my" world I would structure it much much differently. I was conceived out of confusion... Out of a desire for love. The lesson is always love. The love that you withhold is the pain that you carry, lifetime after lifetime. I would like to see the world change... Change is the only constant in life. But will the world change for the better or for the worse? That all depends on you.
