Politics & Beer - Yes, GOP Voter ID Laws are Racist

    in Politics Progressive

Last night a Republican caller said that the recent wave of Voter ID laws was not racist, and not designed to disenfrancise minority voters. But the facts are clear, no one can honestly debate that these laws are designed to combat voter fraud.

    I will discuss this tonight.

All eyes are on voter ID Laws. No eyes are on voter registration fraud. Strategic Allied Consultants, (SAC) hired by Mitt Romney, the RNC and Florida's GOP is being investigated for voter registration fraud. SAC is owned by Nathan Sproul, who has been working with and for the Koch bros over the past 20 years. Among other things they are being investigated for altering the information (primarily the name and address) of Democrats without their knowledge or consent.

    Are Voter ID Laws Necessary

    in Politics Conservative

Tonights dedication is in memory of : David Hickman
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/19/nc-soldier-23-was-last-us_n_1158334.html
In a poll conducted in June, an overwhelming majority (75 percent) of registered voters — including 77 percent of independents and 63 percent of Democrats — said that Americans should present photo ID before casting their ballots. To date, 16 different states have enacted a photo-ID mandate, and another 15 states have required voters to show some form of personal documentation, such as a utility bill or a bank statement (though not necessarily a photo ID).
These 31 states include both Republican and Democratic strongholds, along with many swing states. There are only three states (Oregon, Vermont, and Wyoming) that do not have a voter-ID law on the books and did not consider one when their legislatures met.Critics of voter-ID statutes claim that they suppress voter turnout, but there is no evidence to support that view. In Georgia, turnout rates have actually gone up since the Peach State adopted a photo-ID law. And according to a 2007 University of Missouri study, "The only consistent and frequently statistically significant impact of photo ID in Indiana is to increase voter turnout in counties with a greater percentage of Democrats relative to other counties" Some contend that lower-income Americans cannot afford to comply with these laws, but every single state with a photo-ID requirement allows voters to obtain a government-issued photo ID at no charge. So Are Voter ID Laws Necessary?   Join The Discussion @ 424-222-5255

Republicans will win by massive voter challenges caused by voter ID laws

    in Politics

All eyes are on voter ID laws.  No eyes are on voter registration fraud.  Strategic Allied Consultants LLC, hired by Mitt Romney, the RNC and Florida's GOP is being investigated for voter registration fraud.  In the past 8 years this firm has worked in 40 States.  SAC is owned by Nathan Sproul, who has been working with and for the Kock Brothers over the past 20 years. Among other things they are being investigated for altering the information (primarily the name and address) on democrats. If same day registration is cancelled, then votes will not and can not be cast.  Provisional ballots will be literally thrown away on a massive scale, because names and addresses do not match.  Voters will not know until it is too late to challenge the inaccuracy. We must check now and often to make sure we are  accurately registered to vote. In 2008, in Florida 767,023 provisional ballots were thrown away for this very reason.

Demos turn on Obama; SCOTUS vs States' Voter ID Laws; Trip revisited

    in Politics Conservative

No matter how you look at it President Obama is facing hard times. The reality of being "The Man", President, His Highness or the one in charge is starting to slap Obama hard. No longer is he looked at as the Savior of the "people". His abilities to walk on water, hold his nose in the air when speaking and woo the dreamers have been tarnished; many say vanished. What has caused the fall of Obama?

Voter's Rights. aka Voter ID, have been making the news again; coincidence it is two weeks before the mid-term elections...don't think so!

Some interesteing things happened this weekend as I was on the road...indeed politics is on the mind of many. Also, some businesses still believe in customer service and treating their customers like people.

These topics and more will be addressed this morning at 8AM-10AM "In the Pickle Barrel".
