    Vote For Nick Augustine for Shady Shores, Texas Town Council, Place 2

    in Politics

    Keeping an eye on the past while focusing on the present and future, we can ensure Shady Shores, Texas will be a great place to buy a home and raise a family.

    If elected to Town Council, my votes will be in the direction of:

    (1) Spending cuts and maintaining our savings and assets for the future;

    (2) Manageable growth that increases our land values and preserves our charm;

    (3) Increased resident communication and involvement in future decision-making.

    Voting for me, Nick Augustine, is a smart choice because I am educated, available, and interested in adding a new sense of balance and viewpoints to our council with my volunteer background and experiences.

    I operate a local marketing and public relations business, which allows a flexible schedule to talk with residents anytime they give me a call or want to meet to talk about their concerns. Being on Council requires a great deal of work and I have the time to get it all done.

    I hope to see you all at the Candidates Debate on Monday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m.

    Volunteer Experience:

    Celebrating Ireland's Historic YES Vote

    in LGBT

    Saturday, May 22, 2015, Ireland carved out a special place in history. Ireland voters clearly voted YES for marriage equality.  Ireland's amended Constitution now provides equal access to all the rights and privileges civil marriage offers.

    The BBC reports: "Out of 43 constituencies, only the largely rural Roscommon-South Leitrim had a majority of "no" votes."

    In this short podcast, we celebrate Ireland's history making!  Before you go, do share your thoughts in the comment box below as well!

    American Daily Review: The National Popular Vote Movement

    in Politics Conservative

    Constitution Corner: Congress's one-time power of the purse strings; Biker gang bloodbath in Texas; All hail mob rule; "Homophoboes" to the furnaces; So much tyranny, so many shiny squirrels; Government healthcare - or else; La Clinton Nostra and House Bush, two wannabe American political dynasties going nowhere; Republican civil trade war?; It's 2015, not 2003, and Iran is not Iraq; Fear Islam, but be silent about it, and give in to Islam's demands (or "Dhimmism is the cure for Islamophobia"); and the rise of "democracy" is the fall of the Republic.

    PWN 2015.4.2: Spell Out the Vote and other political issues

    in News

    In Nebraska we just had our primary for the 2015 elections season. We're also moving into the 2016 campaign season. KaliSara and RevKess thought that this would be a wonderful oppoprtunity to talk about your rights as a voter in the United States. With Spell Out the Vote they plan to share information on how to vote, where to vote, why to vote, and how various states in the Union have made it easier (or harder) for people to vote. Everything from the "hanging chad" to Obama's proposal to make voter registration mandatory.

    In part your hosts will talk about some of the candidates in the 2016 season, but the main focus of the show will be on the voter. What they can and cannot due when it comes to voting. As well as talk about the difference between not voting and making a political statement at the polls.

    Power is in the Pen, the Vote and in the Money

    in Politics Progressive

    Power is in the pen. Power is in the vote. Power is in the money. Goals to achieve either one of these in abundance or any combination of these in abundance reaps rewards to the holders. Each day brings another opportunity to do the necessary things to be the change sorely needed in America. Politicians today feel undue respect toward leaders of other countries, yet have not problem calling the President of the United States a lie, to be heard by the ears of the world. Yet the same politicians can say boldly, this President is not respected by world leaders. Ignorant double talk is corroding the fabric of the America so many have died for. We have to have power to be heard. We have to unite our efforts to exert strength to make necessary changes. Create the power you can and use that power for the good of a better America. America is at her best, when good people participate in the power of the pen, the vote and or the money solution.
