The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, from 7-8 pm ET (4-5 pm PT).
Last week we talked about how to manage the softer skills of your personal brand, and this week we're going to talk about how authentic storytelling in the workplace impacts talent strategies.
Content marketing will no doubt be a 2015 buzzword. You create content to connect with customers, employees, and potential future employees and everything will be just dandy. Right?
But while content is important, it’s not just about sharing content. It’s about sharing meaningful stories.
People don't pay attention to most marketing messages. They pay attention to authentic stories, however. Authentic stories build community (think the TalentCulture #TChat community). And community includes people who tell stories by sharing their experiences, their purposes (or lack thereof) and by dreaming about a goal for the future.
Authentic storytelling from leadership and employees impacts recruiting, retention and of course customer acquisition.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-founders and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn about how authentic storytelling in the workplace impacts talent strategies with this week’s guest: Christoph Trappe, Career Storyteller and Journalist.
Thank you to all our TalentCulture sponsors and partners: Dice, Hootsuite, SAP/SuccessFactors, GreatRated! of Great Place to Work, IBM Smarter Workforce, CareerBuilder, PeopleFluent, Fisher Vista and HRmarketer Insight.
Join KM this week as she talks with Gwendolyn Napier of the Kuumba Storytellers of Georgia. They will be discussing the importance of the oral tradition of storytelling.
The ANU spiritual Order is a way of learning that allows the student to place themselves at the center of the learning experiences as opposed to memorizing rituals, names, and protocol that serve little when it comes down to reality reconstruction.
This class series is a hardcore spiritual initiation into the deeper truths of indigenous metaphysics and natural power.

If you’re not living life full out, Russell Heath wants a talk with you. It’s his mission to get people off the sidelines and into the action. He’s been in the thick of the action since he was a kid—in his teens he hitchhiked to Alaska and lived in a cabin on the banks of the Tanana River; in his twenties, he lived in Italy, crossed the Sahara and the jungles and savannas of Africa; in his thirties, he sailed around the world (alone); in his forties, he wrote novels no one would publish; and in his fifties he bicycled the spine of the Rockies from Alaska to Mexico. He’s worked on the Alaska Pipeline, as an environmental lobbyist in the Alaska Legislature, and run a storied environmental organization fighting (successfully) to protect Alaska’s rainforests. Several years ago, he moved to New York City to dig deep into leadership development and coaching. He now coaches business and non-profit leaders as well as people who want to live rich, zesty, kick-*** lives.

I went to Booker T. Washington HS for the Performing and Visual Arts from 1989 - 1993. I have a degree in Acting from KD Studio. After doing only a few projects, I took a 15 year hiatus from acting because I felt I wasn’t good enough and used the excuse that I wanted to raise my children. My husband encouraged me to get back to my passion in 2009. I took a leap of faith, and over that time I have done short films, feature films, commercials and TV shows. I am currently working on a play called Steal Away with Vanessa Goodrich. The commercials for this have aired on radio and both OWN and Bravo Television Networks. I look forward to whatever God has in store for me. Some of the films include No Way Out, Fields Afire, My Boo The 7, Delivered, Strait & Narrow, New Friends A death Foretold, and Walker Texas Ranger. Theater include, Faces Within the Mirror, She's Not Out Sister, Vesta, Birth of Rhythm, So You Wanna Go to Hell, Purlie. Skills, Silly Facial Expressions, Belly Dance Lips, Double Lip Size, Sign language (Intermediate), Rollerskate, Swimming, Jump Rope, General Biking.
Andy Henriquez is a Strategic Storytelling Expert. Andy coaches individuals and companies on how to unlock the power of stories to transform their lives and their businesses. Like most people Andy started off doing exactly what he was told to do: go to school, get a good education and most importantly, get a good job. He did just that Andy attended Florida State University graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Accounting and even became a licensed CPA. Andy landed a good job with one of the largest professional service firms in the world, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
After several years of walking the path prescribed by others, Andy realized that he was not fulfilling his purpose, so Andy decided to create his own path. In December of 2004, with a heart full of fear, Andy took a bold step of faith, left his career and took his destiny into his own hands as an entrepreneur.
It’s been an awesome journey with both victories and defeats. One which led him to ultimate calling; which as allow him to inspiring audiences through compelling stories and providing them with practical principles and strategies for creating more out of life.
Andy believe that we all have a story and strategically telling our story is one of the best ways to inspire others, share our ideas, break away from the crowd and engage potential clients and business partners.
Imagine how you could transform your life and business by harnessing the power of your story. Let’s work together to unlock the power of your story. We are honor to have Andy Henriquez as our guest this morning,
I will talk about the audio visual industry in Philadelphia, Audio visual for the consumer and two of my favorite TV shows. Fringe and Lost. I must love science fiction.
