"Growing Up Vick" is a compelling book about the challenges of growing up in poverty, but having the strength and fortitude to rise above your situation.
"Poverty is not permanent." says the author. The book also reveals the challenges of being blood related to a superstar athlete and the good and bad about the superstar lifestyle. She is the aunt of NFL Superstar Michael Vick, who was once the highest paid athlete in NFL history.
Ms. Vick also discusses her new life in politics and what she found out behind closed doors about the political life
in Self Help
When a regularly scheduled speaker couldn't be with us, Julie Vick, from our live chat room, decided to call in and share her incredible story of her health transformation! She's lost over 70 pounds and changed her life in many ways. Thank you to Julie for being so brave and sharing your journey with us!
Julie reached out back in November, after our Toronto Retreat on Self-Worth, and proclaimed she was worthy, willing, ready, and able to face or uncover whatever needed to be faced & uncovered and to courageously take a look at the relationship she was having, or not having with herself in order to rediscover and reconnect with her true-self.
She realized she had to let go of the Self that others desired her to live, or that she was living because she was scared to feel her feelings. So we've been working together once a week since then, with deeper conversations about fear, her blocks, her family tree, her wounds, her work, her health, with additional support work with her doctors, the energy and health lab, along with a custom training schedule, eating plan, health prescriptions, supplementation, and the all-important customized deep learning plan of self-love and self-care.
In essence, Julie began to re-discover her true essence through a practice of love and nourishment - emotionally, physically, and spiritually. A practice of acceptance, forgiveness, and a loving relationship with herself - which means living life from "who she really is" versus "who she is not" - her Adult-Self versus her wounded Child-Self.
Thank you Julie!

Quarterback Michael Vick is a New York Jet so what does this mean for Geno Smith?
You're invited to join hosts Tyson Rauch and Dennis Agapito for another episode of JetNation Radio and talk about the effect bringing in Michael Vick will have upon the organization.
We'll also be discussing if the team should attempt to obtain the talented on-the-field, but a distraction off-the-field Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson and much more.
Phone lines will be open (646) 716-4697 all show long for JetNation to express their opinion on the NY Jets.
Green-Zone Radio invites you to join host Julian Carter for a detailed look at the major player personnel moves surrounding our New York Jets. Julian will be discussing the team with guest co-host Dennis Agapito (JetNation.com)
Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has signed with the team, so what does this mean for last year's starting quarterback Geno Smith? Vick played under current offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, but was this the right move for the Jets? The team finally decided to release Mark Sanchez, holding onto him as long as possible.
What are the team's plans at the cornerback position as players whom they were interested in obtaining all ended up elsewhere. Also current Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson, who also played under Mornhinweg, is rumored to be available in a trade. Is the talented Jackson worth pursuing or does his contract demands along with a poor attitude make trading for him a bad choice?
While our New York Jets take a Summer break, "Let's Talk Jets" hosts Tyson Rauch (@TRauch21) and Dennis Agapito continue to break down and discuss the major topics surrounding the team.
You're invited to call in live (929) 477-2651 and provide opinions and analysis on where the team stands, just a few weeks away from the start of training camp. As always you can join in the conversation live on Twitter (@TalkJetsRadio).
