Discussion on Vampires and more with Eleanor Tombs, author of The Ridge... Folklore, pop culture, vampire culture, and more. Special guest co-host Michael Mershon of Untitled Rock Disaster fame will be filling in for Scott. This is sure to be an exciting podcast. Eleanor and Jaime have known eachother for most of their lives. Jaime was there the moment that Ele became obsessed with vampires and recalls some of her earliest story telling adventures. Call ins are welcome and the chat room will be open. Eleanor Tombs will join us around 10pm.
About Eleanor Tombs:
Eleanor Tombs has always been titillated with the world of vampires and other folk lore since she was a small child. Growing up and feeling odd herself, she would walk the line of fantasy and reality in her imagination. Now older, she wants to open the imaginations of others to the possibilities. She also wants to entertain others with her ideas and love for these creatures and their inevitable fates.
The Ridge
After a series of unusual and unexplainable events, Ivy Colvin flees city life with her young daughter for the seclusion of the country. Out in the middle of nowhere, she finds the family and friends she had avoided all her life. Before she can get settled into domestic bliss, she is confronted by challenges, changes, and the truth behind the events that sent her out into the country.
With the revelation of the existence of creatures that weren't supposed to exist, can Ivy protect her daughter and her new family and friends?

Mar 29 - Charlotte View: Vampires, its History and Obsession with Theresa Bane
Charlotte View's conversation with Vampirologist, Theresa Bane. She has been featured on Discovery Channels' “Twisted History: Vampires,” as well as E!’s “10 Sexiest Vampires” and “William Shattner’s Weird or What” for her expertise on the undead.
Bane is the author of “Encyclopedia of Demons in World Religions and Cultures,” “The Encyclopedia of Vampire Mythology,” “Actual Factual: Dracula,” “Haunted Historic Greensboro,” “Folktales and Ghost Stories of North Carolina’s Piedmont,” “Folklore and Food,” and numerous RPG (role-playing game) supplements, including co-authoring the “Bare Bones Multiverse” core rulebook. She has also written a dark humor book entitled “The Blood-thirsty Weasels: On the Loose and Buck Wild” as well as regularly writing content and satirical articles for on-line magazines and gaming supplements.
Recently she has delved in audio books and has been the Associate Producer on Patricia Brigg’s “Dragon Bones” and “Dragon Blood,” as well as “Vampire Empire: The Greyfriar” and “Riftwalker” by Clay and Susan Griffith, all of which are produced by Buzzy Multimedia.
When not writing, Bane travels educating audiences about the differences between traditional mythology and horror fiction. A diehard gamer originally from the NY/NJ area, she currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, T. Glenn Bane.
