Also the USGA has undertaken an awareness campaign against slow play. We will discuss that effort as well.

Today on the BeachLifestyle Radio Show, Host Neil Haley and the rest of the BeachLifestyle crew will be live on set in Pittsburgh PA, for the Andy Russell Charitable Foundation Annual Golf Tournament! Please welcome to the show Women's Golf Hall-of-Famer Carol Semple Thompson!
On the golf course, Thompson has twice captained victorious USA Curtis Cup teams, in 2006 and 2008, the latter coming in June of 2008 at the Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland.
While Thompson never won a U.S. Women's Open - she played in 32 - her accomplishments would be the envy of anyone who has played the game at its highest level. She won the 1973 U.S. Women's Amateur and the following year claimed the Ladies British Open Amateur title. When the USGA created a U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship for players 25 and older in 1987, Thompson managed to win that event twice: in 1990 on her home course, Allegheny Country Club, and again in 1997. Upon turning 50, Thompson turned the USGA Senior Women's Amateur into her own personal invitational, winning four consecutive championships from 1999-2002, with the third in 2001 coming at Allegheny C.C.

Then, a very short look at the NHL's Stanley Cup Final so far. Lastly, in Hour 2, Kevin on the Cape joins Dave to reminisce about the "LA Years" as Dave prepares for a move down the road to Santa Monica. NOTE: No show next week on 6/26.
