Interview with Michael Johnson- Arguably the Fastest Sprinter in History

    in Sports

Michael Johnson won 4 Olympic gold and 8 World Championship gold medals.  He holds the 400m world and Olympic records. His 200m time of 19.32 at the 1996 Summer Olympics stood for 12 years. Johnson is considered one of the greatest sprinters in history.

He is the only male athlete in history to win both the 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash events at the same Olympics, a feat he accomplished at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. He holds the world's best time at the 300 m.  Johnson is also the only man to successfully defend his Olympic title in the 400 m. Aside from his Olympic success Johnson accumulated eight gold medals at World Championships, and is thus tied with Carl Lewis and Usain Bolt for the most gold medals won by any runner in history.

Jamaica Usain Bolt 9.64 The fastest man in the World ..Win!!

    in Music

Jamaica Usain Bolt  won his second straight Olympic gold medal in the men’s 100 meters today , crossing the line in an Olympic-record 9.63 seconds. This is a wonderful gift to the people of Jamaica in honor of the 50th celebration of Jamaica’s independence

Like United States Carl Lewis, Bolt is only the second man to go back-to-back in track’s biggest race.Fellow Jamaican, Yohan Blake, finished second in 9.75. American Justin Gatlin took bronze in 9.79.Bolt fell shy of his world record of 9.58 seconds but improved on the 9.69 he ran four years ago in Beijing to enter his name, once again, in the Olympic record book. After taking half a victory lap around the track, he stopped, kissed the track and gave his now-famous “To The World” pose, pointing both fingers in the air while the fans screamed. Festival Songs Mix 2012 with Usain Bolt and Team Jamaica

    in Music

The "Legend" Usain Bolt became the only man in Olympic history to successfully defend both the 100-meter and 200-meter gold medals, coming in at 19.32 seconds and edging Jamaican teammates Yohan Blake and Warren Weir on Thursday night. Crossing the finish line with a finger to his lips – as if shushing his critics – Bolt officially silenced anyone who doubted his standing among the greats in track history
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce doesn't mind a silver to go with her gold. The winner of the 100-meter dash followed it up with a runner-up finish to Allyson Felix of the U.S. in Wednesday night's 200 meters. That didn't diminish the Jamaican's smile — or her status as one of the world’s top sprinters.” I must admit, it was really, really hard to pick yourself up after 100 meters and do three more rounds of 200," she says. "Mentally, as an athlete, it's very difficult for me, especially the fact that it's my first double in a championship."
