Who cuffs the cops? Police excessive force 1.5 million judgment in California

    in Legal

What happens when a CHP officer "goes postal" and starts beating down a citizen with a display of excessive force?  Are we lead to believe this is a one-time incident or is the problem of assault & battery by police officers a bigger problem than we think?

Here is the police beatdown video, you can see the brutality and for yourself.

The incident was reported on fox news website:

"When this incident occurred, I promised that I would look into it and vowed a swift resolution," Farrow's statement said. "Today, we have worked constructively to reach a settlement agreement that is satisfactory to all parties involved."

That's great, there is a swift settlement, but this settlement agreement is NOT to MY satisfaction, as someone (who as a kid) was harassed for no reason by an officer in Upland, California, I would respectfully request that each CHP officer, and commanding officer, submit to 5 addtional excessive-force training videos PER YEAR so that this type of incident won't happen again.  The cop should also be cuffed, arrested, and read his rights.  Join Vondran Legal Civil Litigation Attorneys and Frontline Liesee as they examine the legal issues surrounding personal injuries caused by brutality of law enforcement officers.

Cynthia Macha, Western Museum of Flight & Pilot Chris LeFave

    in Current Events

Our guests this morning are Cindy Macha and Chris LeFave.
Cynthia Macha serves as Director for the Western Museum of Flight at Torrance Airport which is her vocation as well as her passion.
She comes from an aerospace family and is an aerospace industry veteran with a natural affinity for all things aeronautical.
Her devotion to the Western Museum of Flight stems from a far stronger motivation than that.
The work of the museum serves to preserve and promote the rich heritage of the aerospace industry in southern California and she feels strongly that we must accomplish this preservation before the opportunity is lost.
Chris LeFave is a commercial pilot who voluntarily flies for the Commemorative Air Force Museum.
The CAF is a non-profit museum which is headquartered in Texas but has over 125 airplanes on display throughout the US.
The plane he will be giving rides in this Saturday is based at the Inland Empire Wing of the CAF at Riverside Airport.
The plane is a North American built Harvard II. It was built in 1941 at Mines Field which is now known as LAX.
Chris is a Southern California native. He is an amateur aviation archaeologist and enjoys aviation history.
He flies multiple warbirds from the WWII era such as the T-6 and Stearman along with many antique airplanes from the 40's.
He currently lives near Upland, CA where he shares a 1941 Porterfield airplane at Cable Airport.
This morning, they’re going to tell us all about the T-6 Flight Experience taking place this Saturday, November 16 at Zamparini Field.

Christian Devotions Speak UP! REBROADCAST Eva Marie Everson

    in Family

Join us this week on Christian Devotions SPEAK UP! with award-winning author and speaker Eva Marie Everson.
From the time she was a little girl, Eva Marie Everson wanted to be a writer. It wasn't an easy aspiration to have; her friends told her she couldn't be a writer—girls from their town just didn't do that. They grew up to be teachers or nurses or secretaries—or wives and mothers, which is just what Eva Marie did. She went to school and became a nurse; she worked, got married, and raised children.
Eva Marie Everson is an award-winning author of both fiction and nonfiction, as well as an award-winning national and international speaker. She has worked closely with Israel Ministry of Tourism to bring Christian pilgrims and journalists to The Land of the Bible. She teaches at writers conferences across the US and, in 2011, served as a adjunct professor at Taylor University in Upland, IN. Eva Marie is the president of Word Weavers International, Inc., made up of face-to-face critique chapters in the US and Canada. She is the director of Florida Christian Writers Conference, a role she shares with Mark Hancock. Eva Marie has worked with a number of publishers—and not because she is difficult to get along with. Among those she has been honored to work with are: Barbour, David C. Cook, NavPress, Baker Publishing Group, Broadman Holman, and Thomas Nelson. In 2012, B&H, along with Harbinger Media, honored Eva Marie by asking her to novelize the movie Unconditional. Eva Marie has been chosen to be a part of the Spirit of Naples Storytellers Conference, 2013. Find out more at: www.EvaMarieEversonAuthor.com.
