Jesus Christ and the Tithe: Part 2 - Tithing in the New Covenant

A tithe by many definitions is defined as:  A tenth part of one's annual income contributed voluntarily or due as a tax, especially for the support of the clergy or church.

But, what is a tithe according to the Holy Bible and what is it's relevance in the Christian church today?  Join us for part one of a two part series on tithing, as we not only explore its history and purpose, but also seek to determine where, if at all, does it fit in the body of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which is the church.

Gospel Musicians. Body In Christ A Call to Unity

    in Music

“A Call to Unity” Sunday School Lesson, 1 Corinthians 1:10-17, June 29, 2014

Musicians Promoters.  A Call to Unity. Foundation Unity. Are you in the body of Christ?

Foundation Unity The word unity, the word term unity is never used in the sense of uniformity- where everyone looks alike, talk alike and thank alike.

True unity is where belivers musicians have the same Jesus. Who is to honor God.

Gospel music words spiritual message to usher save and unsaved into unto the presence of God.

But, what of our fellowship with one another?  How often have the hands of division ripped away the core foundation of our Christian faith by seeking to tear asunder what Christ has established: fellowship among those who are recognized as being of Him; that blessed, sweet communion with one another?

Unity among the body of believers was so important that Jesus prayed, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me,” (John 17:21).  Jesus knew that if His disciples would ban together as one they could impact the world in a positive way, making many believe in Him.  Vice versa, if divisions and contentions prevailed it would not work to draw people to Himself, to His kingdom message; rather, it would repel.

  • Predicting The Return of Christ

    in Religion

Every since Christ was resurrected and ascended to heaven there have been those predicting his return.  Obviously, they were wrong as Christ has not returned and established his kingdom.  On the contrary, the entire earth is enveloped in corrupt behavior in all facets of life.  For those desiring to live in countries and communities permeated by righteous living there is longing for Christ’s return.  But when will he return?  It’s been roughly 2,000 years since he ascended into heaven.  Does the bible give any clues so that one can determine if his return is near or far away?  Can the calculation of his return be narrowed to within a year or even a decade?  Is there some condition that must be satisfied before his return?  Questions like these will be entertained in the Virtual Living Room of The Body of Christ Church as we discuss “Predicting The Return Of Christ”.

Please feel free to phone into the Virtual Living room with your comments or questions.  We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thu 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am.  All times are Eastern Standard Time.

Can You Handle The Truth: Do You Really Know Christ ?

    in Religion

Many people say that they are born again, saved or they are married to Christ. The question is, which Christ are they referring to? Christ himself tells us in Matt. 24:4 - 5, "And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in my name, saying , I am Christ; and shall deceive many". Paul also tells us in 2 Cor. 11:4, "For he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached". So, if this great deception that was prophesied has taken place, and it has, how do we know which Christ to follow? We welcome you to join us, as we examine the scriptures to see if you really know Christ. That is, if you can handle the truth.

Part 4: Is The Immolated Body of Christ the Temple? - with host Paul Rakowicz

    Essential Spiritual Fitness Program (eSFP)

Saturday, March 28, 2015 AD, 11:00 AM EST

This Saturday we continue our series looking at ALL the covenants of Scripture. Specifically today we'll be discussing the article shared by Scott Hahn and written by Brant Pitre titled "Jesus, the New Temple, and the New Priesthood". This is a great article that ties in nicely to the Genesis creation account of the literal physical universe, the pre-incarnate Christ being the Temple of that original creation, and Jesus the Incarnate Christ being the Temple of the New Covenant.

I know that in modern day preterism there is much confusion about the covenants God made with mankind. In this podcast we will further our discussion of the covenants, from creation to Christ, demonstrating both the profound nature of Genesis chapter 1 as it relates the literal creation of the heavenly and earthly realms, and the progressive revelation that ultimately brings forth the "first" heavens and earth through Moses that is ultimately done away through the advent of the Christ.

This show will help all believers, regardless of your background or current thinking.

    Regardless of whether you:

    1) Agree with 2000 years of Christian saints that Genesis 1 is about the physical creation, or

    2) Are presently confused given the rash of covenant creation running through certain camps, or

    3) Are thoroughly convinced that Genesis 1 isn't about the literal creation of the universe

Wherever you're currently at, you will find this show immensely satisfying as it will either 1) bolster your faith, or 2) undo your present confusion, or 3) challenge you to abandon your current belief.

Can You Handle The Truth? The Trial Of Your Faith:

    in Religion

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

1Peter1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Many people when face with the trail of their faith or should we say, being tried by their lust, decide to make excuses to justify the flesh. Let us examine the scriptures to see what Christ said concerning our qualifications to being his disciple. That is if you can handle the truth.

Are You Smarter Than Your Pastor: Catholicism 101 Pt1

    in Religion

In these difficult days and times we often look to spiritual leaders for guidance and instruction in our lives. As Christians (followers of Christ) should these leaders speak from their mind, or from what is written based on the word of God? This show will examine things said by men and woman claiming to be Gods ministers to reveal whether or not they are speaking Gods word and doing his will. 1Pet 4: 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.We hope you tune in and listen to our show. We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am all eastern time.
