The Author Chat Show with Lynda D. Brown

    in Books

Meet author Lyric Benson Ferguson. She's stopping by the Author Chat show to 'chat' about her new book, French Kissing God: A Journey to Enlightenment.

    About the book:

French Kissing God brings a message of peace, love and Divine-realization while awakening the hearts of anyone seeking a truly mystical existence. The book’s exuberant, pulsating, passionate and visceral verses are the hallmark of author Lyric Benson Fergusson, whose words let us join her on a journey to enlightenment—from the beginning days when she was seeking God to experiences of unimaginable Divine Union and bliss. This powerful collection successfully brings the concept of piety back “down to Earth” in the modern-day playground of spiritual awakening.

French Kissing God: A Journey to Enlightenment has been endorsed by bestselling authors: Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Jeff Brown, Marci Shimoff, Barnet Bain, Dr. Norman Rosenthal and many others.

    About the author:

Lyric first emerged from almost a decade of studying consciousness and enlightenment to create her debut album Lyric’s Love Light Revolution, co-produced by her father, actor/director Robby Benson, and her singer/songwriter mother, Karla DeVito. The album is a celebration of Lyric’s wildly eccentric journey into the throes of divine love. All of her lyrics were inspired by and taken directly from the poetry she composed over these very unconventional spiritual years.

    in Books

Shelly Roberts and Joffrey Matheson have watched friends fall in love and take that giant step—marriage—promising to share their lives together. Now it’s their turn. They’ve been paired as the perfect couple, according to Allanville’s Matchmakers Committee. Yes, their friendship has developed and grown. Yes, they are compatible, enjoy each other’s company, and want the same things out of life. Most importantly, they’re both seeking a meaningful relationship. Family and friends are excited as they cheer them on. Everyone is anticipating and waiting for the big news.
    Humph, that’s a joke!
Instead, they keep getting sickening, whining excuses; there are no sparks…no chemistry…we’re just friends…you know, a yummy peanut butter sandwich but with syrup instead of jelly. The million-dollar question, how can you develop a serious relationship when you’re still carrying a torch for someone from your past? Where they do that at? In the small town called Allanville?

Is Morton Morelli, the Author, Sardine Packing?

    in Writing

Note Time Zone Change: 15:00 (3:00 pm) UK, 11:00 am AST, 10:00 am EST, 9:00 am CST, 8:00 am MST, and 7:00 am PST

Morton Morelli, the author of “Sardine Packing”, a complex relationship thriller that he launched in December 2015. It is available now on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.

“Sardine Packing” is set in World War II. “Sardine Packing” is the deplorable term the Nazi's gave to the mass graves where they shot Jews, to fall like Sardines in a can. The camp is the first death camp where Jews are to be transported and then executed. Himmler, who had the idea in the first place, visits the camp to meet Hitler to put his final solution in practice.

Morton set out to show a beautiful place involved in the War. Old footage of the War always looks bleak, but Europe was still very beautiful. He set the scene to highlight this as he liked the contrast between the beauty and the horror of war. He also showed the financial impact of the proposed slaughter of some 5 million Jews.

Hans is a good guy, and soon comes to realize that people are the same no matter what creed they may be. A relationship forms with him, and Sophie, and he intends to help her escape.

Currently working on “Sardine Packing 2”, the sequel, Morton has givien it a working title of “The Gathering”. In due course he will be posting sample chapters on his website. Stay in touch.

    in Books

On this Episode of The Beautiful Butterfly Show we Welcome Our first sciene fiction Author Brian L. Thompson as we discuss his book "Reject High"

MEET OUR GUEST AUTHOR BRIAN L. THOMPSON: With five novels in print, including his highly-successful science-fiction teen
series, Reject High, Brian Thompson continues to shape his career as a storyteller who fuses high-concept plots with down-to-earth characters. As a child, Brian could always be found drawing superheroes or etching out action stories in a notebook. Leaning on his experience as a well-respected journalist and writer and with his love for science fiction classics, Brian formed Great Nation Publishing, LLC. – an independent publishing company aimed at promoting creative projects with integrity. Its published works include historical fiction novels The Lost Testament (2010), and The Revelation Gate (2011), with the latter landing on Amazon's Top 80 List for Historical Fiction-Africa. The Anarchists, Reject High (Book One of the Reject High Series) and Sophomore Freak (Book Two) have garnered a number of positive reviews and endorsements with Forgotten (2015) and Champion, Immortal (2016) on the horizon.    When he is not urging others to pursue their writing passions, Thompson chases his own: preparing for the spring 2015 release of Forgotten, the third installment in the Reject High series, being a full-time high school English/Language Arts teacher, and co-running the day-to-day operations of Great Nation Publishing. A proud graduate of both Morehouse College and Temple University, Thompson and his family live in East Metro Atlanta, Georgia.
