An Interview with a true New Zealand bushman, of a life lived against the grain, of adventure in New Zealand's thickest wilderness and a lifestyle any Kiwi Hunter would envy. Pete the Bushman has lived a life inseparable from the bush - these are his stories of running down deer on foot, heli-hunting in his own chopper, finding the perfect woman and eking out a living from the bush.
He and his wife Justine run the Bushman's Centre, 35 mins south of Hokitika, established in 1991 as a place to show visitors how local people use the South Island forest.

He is currently working alongside Dan Lin (LEGO MOVIE) to develop a feature film for Disney based on the iconic amusement ride SMALL WORLD, and hopes to begin production on the 3rd installment of "National Treasure" sometime next year. Turteltaub contributed to one of the most successful television mini-series in history, "From the Earth to the Moon," when he directed the seventh episode of the series "That's All There Is," which portrayed the camaraderie of the crew of Apollo 12. He was nominated by the DGA for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Movies for Television. Jon Turteltaub was born in New York and raised in Beverly Hills. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and his Masters degree from the USC School of Cinema and Television.
