(1 Peter - Part 24): Venerate All God's Creation by A.W. Tozer
Scripture(s): 1 Peter 2:17, Psalm 104
Description: A philosopher searches for truth inside his own head, a scientist searches outside in nature, and neither finds the whole truth, but only shattered fragments. A. W. Tozer intimates, “My friend, the wisest man in the world is the man who knows the most about God.” Only as things are seen from the sanctuary may they truly be seen in focus. Through 1 Peter 2:17 and a loving exegesis of Psalm 104, Pastor Tozer illuminates two of “the five things the Christian should do if he is to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ:” 1) Venerate all things; 2) Honor all men; 3) Love all Christians; 4) Fear God; 5) Honor the authorities. “Venerate All God’s Creation” is the 24th message in a 34-part study of Peter’s first epistle. Recorded on March 14, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, the sermon is 40 minutes and 34 seconds in length.
The Theology of Christmas by A.W. Tozer
Scripture(s): 1 John 1:1-10
Description: Underlying the lovely melody of Christmas is a foundation of rock-solid theology. Dr. A. W. Tozer draws seven features of wonder and mystery from First John 1:1-10, as he contemplates 1) the wonder of “that eternal life;” 2) the wonder of life manifested; 3) the wonder of light; 4) the mystery of iniquity; 5) the wonder of sin forgiven when confessed; 6) the wonder of cleansing from unrighteousness; 7) the wonder of communion. “The Theology of Christmas” was recorded in Chicago, Illinois, probably in December of 1957 or 1958. It is 38 minutes and 35 seconds in length.

The Voice of the Soul by A.W. Tozer
Scripture(s): Luke 12:16-21
Description: The Parable of the Rich Fool illustrates the inestimable worth of the soul as compared to everything else. Dr. Tozer uses Our Lord’s story to warn of covetness. It is the voice of the soul which cries out, “Don’t be so concerned with the things of the world that you forget me.” “I am not a body containing a soul,” Dr. Tozer says, “I am a soul contained in a body.” Please check out our website @Remnantxradio.com and send me a friend request on facebook!
Who by A.W. Tozer
Topic: Sovereignty Of God
Scripture(s): Daniel 4,1 Chronicles 29
Description: Who holds supreme religious authority today? Who has the sovereignty to rule? It resides only in God and numerous proofs of this claim are found in Scripture. Dr. Tozer uses just two passages to prove the point - in I Chronicles 29 and Daniel 4 - Please check out our website @Remnantxradio.com and send us a friend request on facebook!
A witness tells about something he has seen, heard or experienced -- like a reporter giving an unvarnished account of an event. Witnessing has nothing to do with theology or philosophy. There is no "editorializing." In Acts 1:8, Jesus said that believers will be a witness unto Him. In this message, Dr. Tozer tells what it means to be a true witness for (and of) Christ. (1 Peter - Part 29): False Teaching On Obscure Teaching by A.W. Tozer
Topic: False Teaching
Scripture(s): 1 Peter 3:18-24
Description: A critically important theology lesson designed to armor the people of God against heretics who use certain hard, obscure texts from the Bible to teach things that the Bible never says at all. In “False Teaching on Obscure Teaching,” A. W. Tozer demolishes several dark misrepresentations of First Peter 3:18-24 and 4:6, by shining upon them the brilliant light of the rest of God’s Word. “Let me give you a good working rule for the understanding of Scripture: if you haven’t more than one verse to support it, don’t teach it. Because if it isn’t found in more than one verse of the Bible, the chances are it isn’t found there, either.” Pastor Tozer preached the 29th part of his 34-part series on First Peter in Chicago, Illinois, on June 13, 1954. Its length is 34 minutes and 43 seconds. Please check out our website @remnantxradio.com and send me a friend request on facebook!

(1 Peter - Part 23): The Christians Relation to Government by A.W. Tozer
Scripture(s): 1 Peter 2:13-16
Description: True to its title, this 23rd message of A. W. Tozer’s 34-part study on Peter’s first epistle explores “The Christian’s Relation to Government.” The words of 1 Peter 2:13-16 testify that human government is of divine order. However, Dr. Tozer debunks a myth that the Bible endorses the primitive concept of “divine right” rule. He explains, “The father, as the paternal source of the family, and thus as head of the family, and naturally as protector, defender, and bread winner of the family, was the first ruler.” Human government thus developed from the idea of the family. Furthermore, God’s Truth transcends all politics and human government. The pastor concludes with the beautiful words of Hebrews 12:22-24. The message was recorded on March 7, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, and is 29 minutes and 42 seconds in length. If you enjoyed this bible go to Remnantxradio.com then click on the War Academy! (1 Peter - Part 28): After Conversion, the Remainder of Your Life Should Be Different by A.W. Tozer
Scripture(s): 1 Peter 4:1-5
Description: “I am not going to waste any tears on anybody who comes whimpering to me for sympathy because people think he’s strange from following Christ. … The moment it can’t be said of a Christian, ‘He’s different,’ he has disgraced his testimony and sold out his faith.” A. W. Tozer explores 1 Peter 4:1-5 with ironclad logic, tempered by his distinctive spark of congenial wit. He contemplates the meaning of “strange,” defines a Christian and the Christian perspective of time, and extols the virtues of a silent reply. Pastor Tozer’s remarkable mind is at its best in this 28th message of his 34-part series on the first epistle of Peter. “After Conversion, the Remainder of Your Life Should Be Different” was recorded on June 6, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois. Its length is 23 minutes and 55 seconds. If you enjoyed this study go to our website @Remnantxradio.com then click on the War Academy tab - Please send me a friend request on facebook!
