I've always loved reading romances. No matter how many well-intended teachers tried to interest me in the classics, I poured my allowance into collecting every book with Judith McNaught's name on it. My first foray into writing for pleasure was Harry Potter fan fiction (remnants of which are still on fanfiction.net, where my teenage alter ego RomanticFool still dwells).
Globetrotter, lover of languages, and romance author, Tara Quan has an addiction for crafting tales with a pinch of spice and a smidgen of kink. Inspired by her travels, Tara enjoys tossing her kick-ass heroines and alpha males into exotic contemporary locales, paranormal worlds, and post-apocalyptic futures. Armed with magical powers or conventional weapons, her characters are guaranteed a suspenseful and sensual ride, as well as their own happily ever after.

A lot of coaches think the thing they need to be a good coach is a strong set of tools. While knowing and working with a suite a tools and processes might make you a good coach. It won't necessarily make you a great coach.
Too much reliance on tools can limit the effectiveness of your coaching, because you can only go as far as your tool or process will take you. It can also limit the types of clients you can work with. There are some processes that work a lot of the time. However, there is no one sized fits all option for every client, all of the time.
When all a coach has to offer is what's in the tool bag coaches end up doing something we call, "tool tossing". That means they either try to force a client into a specific process, whether it's a good fit or not, or they keep tossing tools hoping they will find something that lands.
Tool tossing keeps you from actually listening to your client. It prevents you from being present. When it doesn't work it creates a lot anxiety for both the coach and the client.

What are the secrets to an everlasting marriage? Could it simply be learning how to empathize, that listening and sharing a burder works wonders. Could it be learning to stay respectful of each other.
In studies focused on the positive habits of happily married couples, this is what they found. REMEMBER your a team, you're in this together. TRY A LITTLE TENDERNESS, use a warm tone of voice. SOFTEN conflict with humor...LAUGH. SUPPORT but don't SMOTHER. Kahil Gibran said 'let there be spaces in your oneness.' CELEBRATE each OTHER.

This week we are going to address the concept of PROCESS and the role it plays in overall time and energy management. Process is one of the topics that people may not have considered as part of time and energy management. Process is a key element of STRATEGY; one of the blades on my productivity windmill. The windmill has a gear mechanism that works from within. The smoother, more consistently and faster the blades turn, the more productive you tend to be. Process is the way that you do what you do. When it’s strong it is the mechanism that takes plans and turns them into results. Process actually oils the gears of the windmill and the it turns smoothly. But if process is weak it’s like tossing a wrench into the gears! All the planning in the world won’t bring you any closer to your goals if there isn’t a process for implementing them. Planning sets the standard while process implements that standard through structure. Process is the part of STRATEGY that bridges the gap to SUSTAINABILITY.
This week, Steven Drewes of Drewes Dynamics will be joining us to discuss cutting the fat from your processes so they are strong, effective and sustainable. Steven is the president of Drewes Dynamics, LLC and Lean Worldwide where their focus is to rapidly transform organizations and business cultures. They are committed to enhancing all business processes and continuously adding value to their customers. Steven is particularly known for his Kaizen Events where he teaches and implements his unique Lean System transforming businesses around the world.
